@@Keyboardgamer69 yeah i fell for an OTP scam too. i somehow managed to keep the account with some quick password switching and luck, but lost basically everything i had in my 4 year old acc. i talked about getting ratted a couple of months later in the crystal cafe discord server, and the wildest thing is that a guy dmd me saying that he had a server where he helped ratted people and shit, sends me a link to a server wich looked kinda legit, and to verify it literally was an OTP scam again. the sheer stupidty of this guy thinking i'd fall for the same thing twice is incredible. got the server shut down, even if i know it's not gonna be that helpful but hey, at least i did something.

Don't expect microsoft or mojang to do anything to help you if your account got hacked. I got my account hacked when I tried to download FL studio off a sketchy site. They took my token session and took it. Even with 2FA, when a hacker has a token session, it basically acts as if he's doing everything from your pc, having full control without authentication. Mojang no longer helps with account problems since they got bought by Microsoft. Microsoft has no support for account theft apart from a form that doesn't work even if you fill out all the info they need correctly. Their xbox live chat support will only make you fill out a new form and leave you hanging for 2 weeks only to tell you that they can't give you your account back since "it was the hackers info in it and the hacker deserves some privacy". They will just close down your account. In the end, the hacker only loses a few seconds out of his time, you lose your mc name as it gets locked forever and you lose your minecraft/microsoft account.

These hackers have gotten alot more advanced within a couple years Like before it would be people giving out lunar cosmetics if you could beat them in a dual and they would ask for ur discord and send you a redemption link that is very close to the actual lunar cosmetic store and the website is an exact replica Then you'd have to log into ur mc account in the fake website store and you'll be sent one of those Microsoft otp codes that you'd have to enter and they'd get access to ur whole account People have had bad times with Microsoft support getting their compromised accounts back, but for me, I had little to no issues Idk if those scams are still around, but seeing how legit those servers look like is definitely a big step up for them unfortunately

Of course scammers are heartless :P They're selfish and don't view others as people. Like you can see real life scammers berating little old ladies while they steal their retirement accounts. Some people are just evil.
