He at least acknowledged how bad it was in his offline chat and is planning to make a video apologizing for it/addressing it once that investigation is done with. Gotta be fair to him on that call with trainwrecks though, he was lured into it with the promise from train that he would delete that tweet that made it seem like he was the one that sexually assaulted and blackmailed multiple victims. He had no idea he was being recorded and the call was done before Adrianah Lee had even done her initial stream or all those DMs exposing Slick for being a creep to women were outed. So Miz was still working with the same information he had from years ago when the incident with Slick had first occurred. The thing with corrections is that they’re the right thing to do but there’s always people who believe it’s not enough or not soon enough or something. The situation with Miz was misunderstood in the beginning, yes. Lud reported how it was when the video was uploaded. As things changed he corrected what he’d said. Idk what else you want? I understand wanting more but Lud is doing way more than most people who report or comment on stuff. He’s one guy with a small team that isn’t based on news/drama. Did the misunderstanding around Miz suck? Yeah. But Lud was reporting how the public understood it at the time, not smearing his name with malicious conspiracy theories or unfounded accusations. Just my opinion, idk
@MrKoxe111 Жыл бұрын
its not malicious or a conspiracy theory is based on facts and what I have seen happening but the problem is you have to be really following it to get the whole picture. What most dont understand is what we see what Ludwig and co tell us in Public is not what they know in private. Just to name a few examples they always supported Maya and framed it in a way to only make Miz the spotlight and they did it because QT had a Podcast with maya and they wanted to protect her, meanwhile she was logically at least as guilty as miz if not even more. Look I know why they do it they want to be as clean as possible because they want to keep their public image clean and do whats most profitable to them not what is right and thats how most do it in that industry. ( ludwig and qt didnt care about the kai stuff which was much worse, QT even tried everything to get him to boost her views by attending her shows). Meanwhile miz talks open about the stuff and gets fucked it was known weeks after if you just did some research but nobody cares about that its just how it looks and how like you say the public thinks, which is exactly the inverse of how it should be just sad to see that someone who is honest gets the most shit meanwhile others who play the public game and appear the right way, dont have any consequences. @@alexplantum177

@@MrKoxe111 Yep. Everyone is greedy and evil and always has the worst intentions. All the good things anyone ever does is for PR. Seriously though I know I try too hard to assume the good in people a lot of the time, but to me that sounds like a lot of assumptions, not “facts.” Sure it’s possible but I’d rather hope there wasn’t malicious intent instead of constructing a *narrative* Maya is the victim in this, harassment or assault, doesn’t really change that she was victimized. How is she guilty of anything? “If you did some research” is such bs also. Trying to dismiss my opinion because you believe my research is flawed or inaccurate is kinda gross. It’s also irrelevant and rude. I understand the frustration and all, I’ve used similar rhetoric, I just suggest you’re at least aware of what you’re saying/implying with that phrase. It makes people incredibly defensive usually. Anyway, if I was following this drama fully and spending hours online, wasting most of it on stuff that isn’t relevant in the end, I might have more of a right to an educated opinion ig, but I can’t dedicate my life and put everything on hold for something that doesn’t have anything to do with me. Miz isn’t the predator, he got screwed, yes. Trying to say that iLudwig and everyone else are just trying to save their image instead of having a human, visceral, protective (of the victim, in this case Maya) reaction to a disgusting clip (as it was understood at the time, I realize the full context makes it less bad, still didn’t age well). You’re making so many cruel assumptions on the characters of people you don’t know and clearly don’t follow. Believing someone willing to put up with the vitriol of backlash (which is beyond disgusting) in order to speak up about harassment, assault, abuse, anything of the sort, is a human reaction and I wish everyone would do so. It takes incredible courage to speak up, knowing you’ll be blamed as well, deemed “guilty” of being victimized at the hands of another for whatever reason people want to find. There are people who are sick and so desperate for any attention that they lie, but that isn’t the case here and I’m not touching that mess in this thread. Regardless, I’m not going to victim blame, that is so incredibly damaging and is why violence goes under-reported. I could go on and on about this. I’ve studied it in uni, I’ve lived doubting my own reality because of other people’s manipulation. I still am struggling with that. I cannot convey how strongly I feel on this issue in specific. I’m getting a bit off topic and heated, sorry about that. The last point I want to say is that “others who play the public game and appear the right way” do get consequences. Those are that people believe they’re shells just functioning in the believed optimal way to get money or whatever. I don’t really want to toss you in that group, but comments like your original one are the consequences to an extend. I think you’re more upset that the “consequences” aren’t “enough” or something, which is an opinion that you are valid to hold (if you do hold it). We can agree to disagree, I just wanted to have a dialogue and hoped to defend someone who reported something as they knew it and did correct it (not in the way you seem to have wanted or thought adequate, another valid opinion, though one I disagree with a bit). I’m going to stop here, I’ve essentially written a short essay at this point. If you choose to reply I can’t promise I’ll see it, but if I do I’ll read it (at the very least). Thanks for at least being willing to discuss a bit and be civil. Have a good one, be well
@MrKoxe11111 ай бұрын
thx for replying and sorry if it triggers you because of personal reasons, I also didnt want to invalid your research on this topic, I just know how multi layered it is, so its easy to miss something unless you followed everything. I personally just care about the truth and justice for the one's wrongful accused. If you have empathy I always try to think what the person must go through in that case maya and miz for being wrongful accused and People they thought being their friend, amplifying the problem. Miz talked about it on his alt stream how he thought they were his friends, but that showed him, the only thing people in the streamer industry care is how the public perceives it and if it helps their numbers. To better explain about maya: In the beginning miz and maya got accused of covering up sexual assault but miz never talked with the victim Adrianah, it was maya so she would have been the one to actively cover it up(downplay and speak with Adrianah) but miz was the main one who was being talked about because they tried to take him down(Character assasination) and Maya got caught in the crossfire. It is too hard and time consuming to explain everything in detail but I dont think most people were evil or greedy, most people just do whats in their best interest. Even if that means in this case bringing their former friend or co worker mizkif to try to kill himself because staying neutral or waiting and informing themselves before building an opinion was not in their best interest. The good thing I took away from this is not to judge someone in an instant but be sure about it and inform myself, because I understand now how incredible damaging it is mentally to the person accused. The problem in a public setting is multiplied to the extreme because many people just see the headline and remember that even if months later it is shown to be wrong, some people still think its true. Even then I would have said alright everyone makes mistakes just make it clear and apologize.Then after 3 months (most people already made their conclusions and moved on) ludwig made a small apology in the middle of an video, sure better than nothing, but it is personally not enough for me especially seeing the damage he did and how targeted it was around miz. So the same should have be done with the apology. I also learned over the years that people who make content or are public figures often just want to be popular, successful and feel accepted. Thats what's leading them to being fake or a version of themselves that agrees with the public opinion and sentiments, even if they know they hurt people or miss inform them in the process. I can't just watch those people anymore. I would personally watch someone who talks open about those struggles and their flaws, especially if it is worse for them , they get hate and less money because they dont play the sponsor friendly, public game. I can relate to that thx for reading and I wish you a nice day @@alexplantum177

That is a good way to avoid false claims but destroys one of the main things he wants in a Mogul Mail video which is for it to sound like a conversation between him and the viewers. I think putting up all these guards to protect himself from "gotchas" later would hurt him in the long run more than being proven wrong because the videos would start to feel less authentic and comfortable. Also most rational people would not hold it against him if his claims are contradicted through new developments or he ends up making a small mistake. If you're going to jump into technicalities then you're not actually here for a dialogue you're just trying to prove that your belief is "right" so why cater to that person in the first place? There was so much lies even with Adrianah part. Adrianah herself called the Slick situation "stupid" on her alt twitter because she wanted to go to a party where Slick was at but didn't get invited. Multiple people in that room witness it and said it wasn't sexual assault or any type of sexual thing. Hopefully when the OTK investigation is over and Mizkif is back in Ludwig makes a video and apologies for putting all spotlight on Mizkif when Maya was also equally involved and pretty much made him look guilty to his viewers

I understand getting things wrong when it is just general news stories, but when you know Miz and Maya, and rattle off trains allegations like truth immediately when the same day Adrianah said she never considered it assault…how do you get that wrong. Slick has even been to your house since the initial “drama” went down. Seems a little late since that video killed mizs KZbin channel.
@sh09un12 жыл бұрын
I feel like the 2 min correction about the Miz situation really doesn't do justice to the amount of harassment him and his community had to endure these past few months because of it. People would falsely accuse him of doing all these horrible things with no proof because it fit their narrative, but the fact that it came from the mouth of a friend of his who couldn't even be responsible enough to use the word "allegedly" when reporting was just the green light they needed. The correct move was to be impartial and not make a video at all, but just like every one else you did it for the content. Really says something that all the information to make a correction was available soon after you made that video, yet you didn't correct it until now.
@NaxipTV.2 жыл бұрын
all the information for the correction was actually out before the original video was made, Lud just chose to push the false narrative either because he wanted content points for pushing the popular opinion at the time or he is genuinely horrible at research and didn't watch the relevant streams. he's proven to be pretty good at research in the past so im thinking it's the dog pile option. in the original video he didn't say maya's name a single time, he tactically avoided talking about her and funneled all the blame at miz to throw him under the bus. I don't understand how you could go on to make an informed video about this without mentioning her since her initial stream after is such a relevant thing to watch if you want to know what's going on and he completely ignored it.

4:11 that feature was created in march of this year way before Elon had even offered to buy twitter, its just that its barely ever advertised so not many people know about it
@apj0182 жыл бұрын
elon musk didnt add the feature that lets you reorganize your timeline from an algorithm to the time posted (talked about at 4:11 for context). Twitter was originally organized by time, and then they (twitter before elon) made your timeline sorted by an algorithm. but the ability to revert back has always been there since that shitty algorithm was made the default. Or at least it has always been a thing for the mobile version, I dont use desktop twitter so I wouldnt know if that feature was missing. Some odd things just arent available on desktop (like the devs just forgot to implement it). for a while you couldnt remove a bookmark on desktop. you could ADD a bookmark, but you needed to go on mobile to delete it

I’ve been meaning to ask Ludwig about his relationship with this channel, I even tried to using super chat back in November. As a journalist myself, I wanted to ask if he aims to objectively “report” on stories on Mogul Mail or leave enough leeway for informed editorialisation? He basically says he does both at the beginning of this video. The interest I have in the topic is because he did study journalism, as did I. In J school we’re taught to go middle of the road in every story, we’re merely the storyteller who watches both sides and reports to a reader. For this show it’s a question that has been asked for years in journalism theory about various platforms: is it journalism or “infotainment”? Why I think this project is a very interesting one in the world of journalism is because of the decision Ludwig has made in the video today: to fact check his portfolio and employ people to continue to fact check as time moves on. This is unlike any other piece of journalism in the current sphere, which I think is very interesting to what journalism might become with similar forms of “journalism” media on this platform. TL;DR: Ludwig is unknowingly carving a new path for digital journalism media by online creators.
@Braddowski2 жыл бұрын
I'd argue Philip de Franco was doing this 20 years ago so your definition of a 'new path' is interesting.
@muirisocearbhaill2 жыл бұрын
@@BraddowskiI completely agree with you, Philip DeFranco has definitely done a lot for the space. However, a lot of what DeFranco covered in the early days, and marginally now too, is what would be considered “soft news”. This being on-platform drama, celebrity gossip/news, and changes to a small sphere of the internet. He did cover “hard news”, especially seen during Trump’s time as US President and mass shootings for example, but I would argue that a lot of the stories of hard news were backed by his own personal/political opinion - something that makes me feel that the “pandering” comments make warranted. He did make them clear to viewers that those opinions were his, although if you plate up a lot of facts then show your cards to a viewer, it’d be reasonable to assume that a viewer might come to the same conclusion themself. Ludwig, yes, does cover similar topics like twitch and KZbin drama, Elon Musk & Twitter, Andrew Tate, and many internet-focused topics which capture a small niche of the public - however I feel it has served, and still serves, much more of a informative role rather than a gossip role, if you follow. Being that Ludwig basically shows the facts how they are with little editing or cutting (in the facts, the videos are pretty much unedited). Therefore he, as he put it himself, takes a very middle of the road narrative to a lot of the stories and shows both sides before sharing what he may think of the topic. Something of which, I feel, DeFranco is not able to do to the same standard.
@muirisocearbhaill2 жыл бұрын
@@Braddowskito add, a lot of the topics Ludwig covers has external factors to a broader issue which he will often include, sometimes albeit briefly, in his videos. I think that has a lot more to do with how the internet has evolved in our lives compared to when DeFranco was doing it however.

I have the exact same questions, just not nearly as polite or sneaky. I was a journalist in the Navy, which to be fair was pretty low-tier on the field. But the DINFOS program was actually pretty top-notch compared to the few other PA/Communications/Writing courses I've taken. I think it's important to define this "new path." Because I believe it's far more ancient than anything in communications, just dressed up in digital make-up. It's a seemingly passive grift with a very active disregard for responsibilities and community, made easier to achieve through a lack of proximity and loads of manufactured conflict and prominence (zero impact).
