I will be there, as soon a season I retire in two years. Do you live and work there ? Looks like my dream come true. I am a PADI certified diver, but have not dived in 15 years.

So cool! I did the Peace Corps and lived on Grande Island for 2.5 years. Spent a lot of my vacation time in Moheli, rarely stayed at the Laka Lodge because I had a friend who lived there, Yaseb, maybe you've met him ? He worked there when I was there last! I was there in May 2017.
@OceanPancake6 жыл бұрын
Yasseb is still there!! Yes he was my divemaster. He is now a dive professional, he's doing amazing! So cool you did the peace corps?
@free23sum6 жыл бұрын
I'M ELATED to know he's doing so well. I love that village. Him and I used to go freediving all the time, as i was not certified nor could I afford it in my Peace Corps volunteer salary. Thanks for helping put such a beautiful place on the map.

Amazing!! You mentioned you accepted a job which took you there, how did you find it? I know it may be a personal question but I truly want to get some pointers on how to become more nomad
@OceanPancake6 жыл бұрын
This was quite random, and my friend tagged me in a job offer online (on facebook actually) to which I sent my CV and magically got the job! I think becoming part of groups, forums, and discussions on the internet and always being on the lookout for new opportunities is the best thing you can do!

Would you ever drop everything and move to a completely isolated island? Let me know why or why not! Love hearing from you guys. Make sure to support the effort to keep the beaches clean : patreon.com/plasticfreefund

what a wonderful 9 months you will have, like living in the paradise..and for sure working hard at the same time. are there any mosquito? will you be ok to dive with the whales?
@OceanPancake6 жыл бұрын
There are hardly any mosquitos as well! They use natural ways to decrease mosquito reproduction. Here we will only be snorkeling with whales! I cannot wait
@AudelinaAdela6 жыл бұрын
why only snorkeling? diving is not permitted? it would be too dangerous?

Hi Katt! How deep are diving where you are in the comoros?
@OceanPancake6 жыл бұрын
We only dive until 30m, this is due to safety reasons and us being the only dive resort on the island. 2 dives a day maximum too :)
