I was 19 when I had my son. My ex-husband wanted me to have abortion. I was only married to my ex for 4 years. This day he does not call or come see my son. That was never an option for me. I truly wanted my son. I thank my parents every day for bringing me up right. I kept my son & had my parents to help me to raise him into a wonderful man. Love your story, David.

Hi David, I really love your story, Melissa your birth mother is very brave, I hope this message of Adoption Option, instead of aborting a baby goes through out the land.

Adoption isn't the only option. It's much kinder and healthier for the baby to keep mother and baby together. Often, it's just the difference of a little financial help. Keeping baby with mom is much better than giving him to strangers who don't share dna, genetics, looks, characteristics. Also, why do people think of adoption right away? What about guardianship? Then the natural parents don't give away their parental rights. The adoption industry is a multi billion dollar industry that has very subtle ways of convincing a young woman that her only hope is to give her baby to strangers. In return, she suffers a lifetime of trauma, regret and guilt.

Is that like foster care? I just seen a story not so long ago speaking on how that’s hard too! How the baby gets use to one parent then to be taken to strangers which yes our the biological parents but don’t know them and is then freaking out for days weeks adjusting to a whole new persons environment and routines. The way she expressed it really opened your eyes to a parent giving up a child to a stranger and never seeing them again! 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I give so much respect to foster parents like never before! And praying for the children suffering thru all those changes 😭🙏🏼

How sad that he refers to his natural mother as "her" and says that she "gave him his mother" (adoptive) sitting next to him! How condescending and disenfranchising! 😡

His adoptive mother is his true mother. Melissa gave birth and 19 years later she gets to meet him and his mother.
