Russell Brand Rants At Fox News 'Savages' & You'll Totally Agree Why

"Actor Russell Brand has always been somewhat politically provocative, and now he's done it again with a diatribe against Fox News over a clip described on BuzzFeed as possibly the craziest rant ever done on the cable news network. In the clip in question, Judge Jeanine Pirro went after President Obama and said he "didn't have the balls" to try Gitmo detainees, as well as citing a report from conspiracy site WorldNetDaily about ISIS forces being trained by the U.S., among other things.
Brand repeatedly mocked Pirro for her "incendiary and provocative" language, including when she referred to ISIS as "savages." And in response to Pirro calling ISIS a "fanatical religious terrorist organization," Brand said, "So's Fox News. It's a fanatical terrorist propagandist organization.""* The Young Turks hosts Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian, John Iadarola (TYT University), and Jimmy Dore (The Jimmy Dore Show) break it down.

Comedians have great insights on life. They see a lot of activities done by others and can use comedy that many can laugh at due to the fact that there are elements of truth behind them. It may not be the full truth, but still carry enough for people to relate, understand and giggle. People drink and do drugs for many reasons. One is most certainly that we know too much about the stupidity and evils of humanity, another is that one is too dull and easily bored while sober, another is that one puts on such a fake act in their daily lives that they need a little extra help letting their real selves out, and then there's just pure addiction that was caused either by being drugged against will, being coerced into trying drugs, or even experimenting once or twice by one's own will out of curiosity. There are many more factors but there's absolutely no shame in getting intoxicated so long as you never endanger anyone, coerce or force others to do what you do, or hurt yourself.

Where they will then do exactly the same as the current ones as most of the ones in power now were once forward thinkers until they made it all about themselves. Believe me they get worse every year and with every generation. You can't trust them and you definitely can't rely on them to do the 'right' thing and they always have a great excuse for their dismal performance. Mostly involving demonizing those other guys ; the Republicans / Democrats , made me do it .Meanwhile ; back at the ranch; nothing gets done. We put too much stock in what elected officials are capable (or incapable) of doing. They get rewarded for F ing up , they get rewarded for doing nothing, they get rewarded for stopping things we sent them there to ensure it would happen . In short ; they do no wrong. I think we should determine their salary and raises and bonuses (yeah give them a bonus if they did extra good), and other perks (like free health care etc) .......their voting constituency should determine their level of reward based on their performance which should be well documented. That would give them incentive albeit most all of them are filthy rich to begin with which automatically determines their agenda from the start. Maybe we should make a rule : No rich people allowed. I bet that would make a big difference in the way things are run except when they buy off the poor guy we send in. But still that wouldn't be any different than when they buy off the rich guy., We just can't win. Now we need a rule ; No buying off the representative : Jail time ensues. And sometimes getting bought off is exactly what they want ; it means getting that bridge or highway put in back home. Now we see that having integrity , principles and being upright and incorruptible , is not the way to go. Once past that point it's only a matter of fixing the price because we've already determined that you are a whore. Point is: non matter how enlightened and forward thinking your representatives might be they are all fodder for the system. Unless the system itself undergoes a significant overhaul nothing will ever change. Isn't that what we are talking about here ?

There are many ways to take down the fox host. This is not one of them. For Christ sake YT, can't you do better than this? Why do you have to mock her? We need to make a breakthrough so as to stop this ongoing acrimonious stance between the two parties. The only way to do it is to realize that as long as we hold hard and fast to our political ideology, we are not free. Instead, we've unwittingly become subservient to our political and religious ideologies that are not up to the task in addressing our most pressing problems. In many ways TYT and Fox news are like a bad marriage that needs intervention. Let's not wait for Fox news to change, we, as liberals need to change first hence set the example.
