Contra alto is such a beautiful clarinet family member!! Its shocking range (deep but discernable low register plus velvety smooth mid and upper registers) make it a perfect instrument to add to a piece, or even downright replace a bass or contrabass part if voicing allows it to. Amazing piece as always, shows off good old Clippy very well!!!
