My choir is performing this song for a concert on American songs, and I thought this was a setting of a folk song because the melody is just so singable, so sweet and touching...I think people will be singing this one for generations to come. What a treat to perform this song, and to hear the composer Shawn here!!

Folk music has been Shawn's early passion, since college days. Many of his arrangements and compositions are in that genre. Look up Unclouded Day, Angel Band, and Sweet Rivers.
