The passing of Matthew Perry is genuinely hitting hard. He portrayed the hell out of a character that I adored for many years of my life. A character that was hilarious yet insecure, confident yet awkward, a character that never failed to put a smile on my face. 'Friends' has been watched hundreds of times at this point and now it won't hit quite the same. Matthew, like all of us, had his struggles and I can only hope that he is at peace🥀

Came here after seeing Lisa on Conan O'Brien's podcast. She descibed how miserable this filming was (with the context that they weren't even stars yet and didn't really know each other). The laughter in the end is real was all because Matthew was just...being himself. "Oh? We're shooting it again? Can't remember a time I wasn't wet." It really shows how much Chandler's character was informed by Matthew's personality.

I saw seeing this show last yr and matthew died while I was watching the first season. But I didn't realize at the time... Season after season it got harder and when I reached the end of the sitcom I couldnt take it. His death took a huge toll on me and I can't even imagine the pain the crew and cast might have felt to lose our dear Chandler bing. All his moments were precious. He made laugh, he made us cry.
