I'm gonna be honest. .this is probably gonna be in my top five favorite adaptations of a Christmas Carol. . I know this particular one is based on a previous musical version, which I've never heard of until I looked it up, but the way this is told, how Scrooge is different compared to a lot of his contemporaries, it just seriously tugs at my heart strings. I'll admit, the constant flashbacks comparing what's going on to what Scrooge did does feel very on the nose and obvious, even for its intended kid audience, but this take on the song, so powerful, emotional, and I'm not afraid to admit I cried when it ended. What can I say, I'm a sucker for musicals and sweet and heartwarming ending songs.

Throw away the past(let go of all the pains of your past and the mistakes,what’s done is done,dose not matter anymore) Begin again ( wipe the slate clean and start your life over again,build a better future) ….very Good advice to help heal wounds of your past and find peace

With the abundance of similar portrayals of Eban Scrooge, it is refreshing that this version decided to try anew: And while his *Adaptational Attractiveness* (to the point that he becomes a Silver Fox) is drastic, where's the harm in a piece of eye and ear candy?

In every version of Christmas carol-Scrooge begins to change his ways when he sets his sights on Tiny Tim , why is that? What is it about Tiny Tim that touches Scrooges heart ❤️? .. My theory- Despite the hardships Tim is facing, he remains happy and filled with Christmas cheer and love ❤️, unlike Scrooge when he was a child and adult hood. Who ever reads this-what are your thoughts 💭??
@RHathemoment

I think in this film he's touched as he reminds him of his beloved sister💛 the one who sang the way he did and was similarly ill.💙 He couldn't save his sister💔but he could save Tim.❤️ that was always my interpretation though I do like yours🙂

Tiny Tim's strength and hope that Ebenezer Scrooge could only imagine having until his transformation into a better person.
@brianwhitford6086
@brianwhitford6086 2 ай бұрын
Tim represents faith and hope; a child with wisdom beyond his years, who knows his time is limited and yet still makes the best of what little he has, or rather HAD, left. Loving and living his life to its fullest. Something Scrooge thought impossible until he saw it with his own two teary eyes. To Scrooge, Tiny Tim was the proof of God's Light of the world, which is why he was willing to give it all up, even his salvation, so that it would continue to shine.

This doesn't come remotely close to Albert Finney's version of this song in the original movie - he wasn't even a singer, but when he sang it the joy was palpable in his voice because he could ACT it - he sounded like he meant every word. I don't care how much Luke Evans shows off his singing chops, I'm just not feeling this.
@klaxxreacts9064
@klaxxreacts9064 2 жыл бұрын
I see what mean. Yeah, Albert Finney's singing voice isn't really expert singing, but it was natural. With that being said, overall, I still enjoyed this film & actually still adored the songs☺. The one arrangement of the song that I didn't really care for was THIS films version of "I Like Life". They turned it into some sort of Caribbean or Hip Hop or something kind of style. I much rather liked the live action movie version of that song. Also, I really liked The Beautiful Day version in THIS one with the sister coming in at the end doing a harmony.

Luke Evans is so miscast that it's laughable - and I generally quite like Luke Evans. His Broadway style of belting to the rafters this and his numbers feels completely out of synch with the established character of old Ebenezer Scrooge. Stick with the classic 1970 Albert Finney version instead of this toyish, juvenile, candy coloured cartoon rendition of Dicken's overdone, hoary antique chestnut.
