No matter how hard it gets, or how much it goes against me. I can't give up on my dreams and goals, because it's my everything. The horses and the sport means the world to me .. For as long as I breathe I'll fight for it.
This video means a lot to me. It includes my 2 horses and 2 ponies- the ones who changed it all and showed me that true hard work always pays off and that no dream is too big. That's why I decided to make the audio (yes, it's me talking) and this video .. To try and explain it even though that's not possible.
In my time as an equestrian athlete and a showjumper I've hardly had ups in between all the downs. And I think most people around me thought I would give up and quit as I never seem to get anywhere. But when I look back to where I started I know I've come such a long way and improved a ton as a rider.
I know how this sport have changed me for the better and I know that there is nothing in the world I'd want more than to be able to make a living out of horses- it's my passion and my reason for living. Being around horses makes me happy beyond words.
And my dream will always be to become a professional showjumper. I can't explain the rush and adrenaline I feel just by watching big shows and championship, the partnership between horse and rider, and everything it takes to be able to stay at the very top of such a hard game.
I just simply love the horses, and I love the sport. Somehow that's what I tried to get across with this video- no matter how hard it gets and how impossible it seems I can't give up or be stopped, and I think I've already shown that so far in my "equestrian career" .

This is sad. It makes me sad. I am allergic to horses. I had to stop riding after 5 years. I had to stop riding my horse. I miss her terribly. But I found these Curly horses that I am not allergic too. Though now I only ride once a month. I will never forget you Gwenn!

I’m crying this touched me so much, ever sence I started liking and riding horses they have become everything to me. I started riding when I was 8 I started on a old, small, black pony I rode once a week and still do. I’m not sure how long I was riding for when I had moments when I said I didn’t want to ride or I didn’t want to go. If my mom didn’t get me to go those days I’m not sure what I would do now, now I’m 12 I’ve been riding for 4 years. Those 4 years I rode that same pony he taught me so much, I’ve only fallen off once and it was off that pony. I got the wind knocked out of me but my instructor got me back on and I kept going. I’ve ridden a diffrent horse a couple times, a tall chestnut mare also old and knew a lot. She also taught me so much the few times I rode her. And here I am now 12 years old close to 13, now I ride a palomino mare just tall enough to register as a horse. She’s the one I ride usually ride now, I love her even though she’s such a challenge for me I haven’t been riding her for that long maybe a month or 2. One ride on her got me so frustrated and mad, I told my mom after that lesson that I didn’t like her, that she was to strong, and that I don’t want to ride her. Later that day I realized that I’m going to have frustrating rides but that shouldn’t keep me from doing what I love the most. I love the horse I ride so much, I love her when I’m frustrated with her even if I don’t show it. I realize that no one or nothing should keep me from doing what I love. No one should be kept from doing what they love the most. I’m going to keep doing what I love... and everyone else should to. I love riding and nothing is going to stop me from doing it.

It really is one of the hardest sports. The emotionnal involvement plus the actual physical involvement makes it very very hard to progress. But you are amazing and I respect what you do so very much. Keep going ! I can't wait to see your next ride. xx

iloilaetlolo But horse riding is just a hobby if that. You just sit there. (Enter curse word here) that! Horse riding requires strength patenience and effort. There are 2 videos I always go back to. 3 really. They make me feel like I can do this. No matter what. I live in Seattle and my friends just aren't into horses. I'm moving to a different part of WA in the countryside and everyone there is gonna be a little more like me than my other friends ever will be. I like them, but they just aren't as much like as me as I would have liked. They can be different all they want but if they could just be a little more considerate about horses than that would be great! Anyway, horseriding is everything and I love them and the sport. Yes all average, unknowleged people. I did say horseriding was a sport. "Bu--" No buts. LOOK IT UP

Recently I had a very bad fall, as my horse has been jumping a stride away from all the jumps, No matter how many different riders rode him it was the same thing over and over. We attempted quite a big jump- he jumped a stride away , slammed into the jump and landed on top of me. He literally didn't get up, he stayed lying on top of me, my instructor and other riders came rushing up to me,so he got off me.I had to be rushed off in an ambulance- my confidence has never been the same. This video really inspired me.

This hit home so hard... I literally started to cry. The thing is, I didn't know I was stuck until watching this. But I've been jumping the same stupid 1 1/2' courses for 2 years now. When I started riding about 5 years ago; I had a vision. I could see myself jumping in with the pros and 5' rounds. But that vision was lost for awhile... but now I can see it again!! I know this is old, but I am a new subscriber and I just had to tell you how much this video means a lot to me. From the age of 6 I am been fighting for my dream of going to the eventing Olympics. I gave up friends, school (I do online school so I have more time to train) , I gave up family gatherings and parties. But I never wanted any of that. I never felt like I would need any other skills besides riding horses. This is the one thing I was born to do. I feel like I am running a marathon on a treadmill. But every time I think about giving in to the pain, the hurt, the suffering.... I can't imagine my life without horses. What would be the point of life, if it wasn't to ride. Good luck on your journey, I am continuing on mine!

This is amazing, I have this one horse I brought thinking she was going to be a top show horse, turns out she was very un educated, she is the most stubborn and hard horse to ride and I've spent the last two and half years taking 2 tiny steps foward and 3 leaps backwards,it's been so hard and still have gotten no where, I just want to follow and chase my dreams but I can't,I'm at that point now where I've been trying for so long and keep getting so dissapointed that I'm ready to give up, but I know I can't,I know that I have to keep on going because I can do this,we will get there, thank you so much for this VIdoe x

I love this video so much! My horse is an OTTB, I've been training him/working with him over the pass couple of months. (He's my first horse). He's been through so much. I Love Him so much already and I feel like I'm luckiest girl in the world. I feel like the only person in the world when I'm around him/riding him. Some people tell me that I can't do it, or that I'm not good enough ect. I've been riding since I was 6 year's old and I've always been in love with horses, it something I want to do for the rest of my life. This audio you made explains me so well and it's something that I really needed to hear right now! I'm never giving up on my horse (Gitano Boy is his name). Never. Before I watched this video I thought that he didn't deserve me, and he needed somebody "better". But I came to realize is that we gave EACH OTHER a purpose and a second chance in life. Thank you. Thank you so much for this. This honestly has a different meaning to you then it does to me. I've been riding horses for about 7 years now. It's not long to some people but I'm still 14. My dream has ALWAYS ALWAYS been to have my own place and own horse. That's basically ever horse persons dream. The barn I go to is a top class show barn, so lessons are already expensive and boarding there is even worse. The only way I could own a horse is if we got a house with land. I never thought that would be possible. About three months ago my dad asks if I want to come look at a house. I was like ... Well it turns out that it has 35 acres (only 10 cleared.) I literally flipped out. I held my breath and didn't let it show because Whenever I get excited about something I usually get disappointed. However, my parents loved the house. They even told me to do my thing and look and fencing, feed costs, average vet bills, the basic stuff that makes equestrians like me jump up and down. My dad told me the only thing keeping us from giving an offer was to see if we could afford the down payment. He asked his friend who works with money to see if we could. I asked every song day if he got an answer until one day he told me. We couldn't afford it. He said that since we already own our house now, and our cabin, plus the house that's being rented out bc it couldn't sell, we just couldn't do it. I felt like I was sinking deeper and deeper into that hole. That's when j realized that I'm lucky. Even though I don't have a horse, I still ride once a week, I still show every other month with an amazing trainer.

This video is amazing, it is so relatable, I have had many problem ponies from the age of 8 I've been trying so hard on these ponies, trying to get better, to stop them stopping, to stop them spooking or bolting. I managed to get all of them going well in the end, after thinking about giving up and wondering why I do it hundreds of times. Many times I felt stuck watching my friends improve and move onto 'perfect ponies' and I felt like I was going backwards. But in the end when you conquer and create a bond with your horses it is one of the best feelings ever.

I honestly agree with you. This sport is the only thing that makes me happy and that makes me confident with myself, and that makes me feel that I'm good at something. I was never good at anything, and I've finally found something I can be good at...I can't explain how this is important to me, just like you said. It's really amazing. Even though I've only been riding for a year, I've always been in love with horses and I cannot think of a times where horses weren't in my life. I know it will take at least one more year to reach where I want to be. It'll take years before I get my own horse, too, but as you said, I can't give up. I know what giving up does to people. I've been there. I don't want to just let go. I won't.

It is the most emotionally draining sport in the world, but the drive keeping us equestrians going, is love, passion, happiness. That "I fell off, but I got back up" is the best feeling in the world... When people doubt me, tell me I am the worst rider in the world... I do not listen to them. I listen to my teacher, and my teacher is in fact... My horse.
