Rake is what bad asses aspire to be. At this moment the story became a favorite, two gods confronted and sent packing. On my first read I considered Ganoes and Rake as the "bad guys", I started rooting for them even if it conflicted with the Bridgeburners which are one of the most entertaining groups of characters I've read. Great recap.

11:00 Damn going through the books for the first time and watching your videos after finishing each section. I had a suspicion that the Kellanved and Dancer ascended to become Shadowthrone and Cotillion because someone early on mentioned that these two didn’t show up until after the old emperor was overthrown. I think you just confirmed that for me right there lol not sure if it was intentional or if its supposed to be obvious and I’m the dumb dumb here. In all cases, your videos are a great companion to my read through, look forward to getting farther along to be able to safely watch some of the more spoilery stuff!

You raise a good point. Laseen is definitely the one who looses Raest to try to take down Darujhistan, but it isn’t totally clear to me why Tool gets selected to go help out!
