why this is so great is because of the length of the shots. Shaw Brothers deliberately put as much action into each shot so as to show the skill of the actors it makes a mockery of modern western movie fight scenes for example this one: search for Goldeneye fight remember between each cut the actors could have a rest, cup of coffee or whatever
