I just think it's amazing that some guys chilling together down in Staten Island were watching these old martial arts films translated to English then they used it as inspiration and translated it to hip hop bringing it to the entire world.

I swear these movies was the best for Us NYC 70's kids, kept most of Us in shape. After Saturday morning cartoons and six bowls of Capt. Krunch cereal or corn Flakes with lots of sugar at bottom of bowl undissolved, We became the Kung Fu Masters. Breaking shit in the house of Our Parents & Grand parents. Getting Our asses beat by Kung Fu karate Chop Mom's, Aunties or GrandMa's. Blaming each other for who broke what. Daaamn I got tears of nostalgic laughter right now.

It had made sense to them since martial art culture was already a part of their childhood entertainment. Compare this concept to that of Griselda and their use of pro wrestling snippets. Mostly by finding clips from the English Radio Television Hong Kong station from the 70s and 80s (where a lot of them were or still are announcers) and talking to the few dubbers who've come out of the woodwork themselves. They were mostly British expats.
