"I'll Never Be A Memory" A Sephiroth Tribute

This is a very beautiful AMV here. I'm a huge fan of the FF series thanks to Sephiroth joining the most awesome fighting game ever, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Thanks to Sephiroth's inclusion, this character won me over the moment he dropped. I should've been careful with this newcomer, but NOPE! Sephiroth already lured me into his trap and now I'm stuck in it. I really couldn't stop staring into those beautiful hypnotizing emerald green eyes. Those EYES and that hypnotic gaze just pulled me further and further into their beautiful green depths until I was completely under Sephiroth's spell. The one-winged angel is also my second most powerful DLC newcomer, the first being Persona 5's Joker. But I don't even use Joker or my three ex-mains anymore, meaning that Sephiroth is making a huge impact on me since his release, more than Joker. I've performed numerous Shield Breaks, Perfect Shields and Meteor Smashes with Sephiroth and he's the most fun DLC newcomer I've ever gotten to know and play with, so much that I ditched all of my four mains. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the game that introduced me to the FF series and Sephiroth and I'm very happy for that. Plus, Nintendo did a BEAUTIFUL job on the one-winged angel. I mean you have his Classic Mode Route that's similar to a Boss Rush, the gorgeous details of his coat, wing, feathers, hair, eyes, muscles, shoulder pads, boots, pants, twin belts and leather straps on his coat not to mention his dangerous smile and expressions for both his coat and coatless forms. The one-winged angel was an early Christmas present for me on Sunday, December 20th, 2020 and he's been blessing me with his phenomenal strength ever since. I've been playing Tourney and Smash Mode battles with him nonstop.

Originally, this theme was in the movie Requiem For A Dream (awesome flick, btw) and then there have been tons of remixes ever since (but this one is one of my favorites!) It's one of those songs that became really popular even though a lot of people don't know about the song's origins and don't know the movie Requiem For A Dream. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!!

@Enuma Elish Plus Sephiroth was significantly weakened when he fell into The Lifestream at the end of FFVII and was only 1/3 "whole" at the end of "Advent Children" and "Advent Children Complete".

Thank you for the very honest review. Comments like this are always helpful. I really did debate with using the color inversion in that section. It's funny--when you go back and look at something you made a few months later, you tend to notice the little glitches here or there that could make things smoother. I wished that the scene of Aerith's death had been reanimated so it would've gone more with the video too. Oh well. Next time around...

Thanks!! I really enjoyed making this. I'm not one of those gals that drools over Sephiroth, but I dig the fact that he's crazy powerful. I had wanted to do something with this song forever and had thought of Sephiroth a while back with it, but never got around to it, which I think was for the best since Crisis Core came out and gave me more to work with. The moments at 1:32 & 2:37 are fun, and I wish I had done more of those. Oh well, there's always the next video! :P

Overall it was fairly entertaining AMV, but the section between 1:38-2:01 was poorly edited. For one, I am a not a fan of color inversions (especially the large white borders) but the rest of the video was edited to be widescreen and this section was unedited for size. Keep making AMVs, because you have some good talent (had great transitions/timing between scenes) but maybe we'll get to see another Sephi tribute one day.
