In 1972, Teddy Wilson recorded a Solo Album as a tribute to Billie Holiday. No one was more entitled to this than he was - he was practically playing on every of her great 30ies sessions. His light and elegant style is in full bloom here. (and he is more engaged and less on automatic pilot than on many of his later sessions). Teddy had great time - even his 16th notes are swinging.
I thought this was easy to play, because he sounds so effortless and airy.
Actually it is quite hard, with a lot of octave jumps in the right hands and stretches in the left. I am taking it slow... Have fun with it!
