I located one like this for $20.00 at a garage sale which was covered in a thin, chipping coat of tannish tone paint. I wanted it for a TV stand. After removing the paint, man was I ever surprised. No, I don't plan to be rid of it even if it is no longer a TV stand.

I have never seen a piece as unusual as this one. It toally makes an artsy statement. As much as i love it, i dont think I could ever house it, this needs to be surrounded by other nice, one-of-a-kind pieces.

That’s the only reason I didn’t keep it, it didn’t mesh with that I already had/my home’s aesthetic. Although I did consider completely reworking my entire home around it 😂

Less is more when you have a detailed piece like this, so letting it be the center of attention and playing down everything around it seems like one way to let it stand out.

Looks like wood camouflage, and I'd definitely keep that piece. Idk where you're located, but where im at, there is a whole street dedicated to antique shops, and it's near an antique mall. Its fun when the weather is nice because the shops themselves are old and there isn't AC. The owners like to give popcorn and pepsi for free. Im definitely going to have an antique day soon.

I like how you kept it looking original, you are talented. You know how much work you did on that piece, if you feel good about the price, then that is all that matters. The only thing I recommend, wear a mask and gloves when working with chemicals.

I think that's a fair price for the craftsmanship that already went into it, PLUS all the labor you put into restoring it so it will arrive and remain nice for years to come in its new home. 1500 would be a steal on something like this by the metric of everyone I know that can spend more than $30 on a given piece of furniture. Small pool but they'd yap about the great deal for a full decade, I guarantee it.
