Jared, Greetings from San Diego. Thank you so much for this in-depth dive into specific elements of the VE 500. I have been gigging with mine at least once a week for approximately two years and have yet to squeeze all the magic out of it as you obviously have. Your incredibly powerful voice lends quite well to the tutorial and future inspiration. All the best to you. Subscribed.

Vocal effects with so many processors out there to choose from and its litterally hair pulling trying to decide which one to buy, I perform a one man show and I really do not have time to be pushing and fiddling with buttons and settings on stage right now after watching your video here I am even more confused, I love the way you explained this boss ve-500 and in fairness the effects sound excellent, I will be looking more into this pedal for sure before making that final decision right now i have just purchased the Lexicon rack unit MPX 500 , used it one night in a sound check and just reverted back to the onboard mixer internal effects , not the best but works , i like my reverb and little delay on my vocals and just want something i can quickly change live on stage if i need to , I do not need to colour my vocals at all with pitch or the cheating auto tune , dont even ask me to sing with auto tune but before i seen your video , I was checking out the voice live play and the TC electronics mic mechanic 2 , I have seen a guy while I was on holidays in Gran Canaria using the tc voice play on stage and honestly it was a laugh , completely over used and it actually ruined this guy although he thought it was amazing , even thinking back I laugh , so bringing me back to your boss pedal here , I think it may be what i am looking for , what is your opinion , I do not want to sound like any artist just be myself, good simple vocal effects reverb / delay and a little harmony now and then ,all at the press of a foot switch, how easy is the boss ve 500 to set up from the get go and do it actually save your setting , I will have to go over your video again here in case I missed out on something

mmm latency on the Boss? No... you may be noticing my video being slightly out of sync which is a contant issue i'm fighting with. But as for Helicon, i've known guys who sold theirs to go smaller. @JaredGunstonTV2 жыл бұрын
It's definately doable with CC#, perhaps you need help with running more then 1 device and having each on it's own CHANNEL? I'll gladly assist - it's on my list of "to-dos" to do a rig run down and how it all works where i basically do exactly that via bluetooth midi. But if you're well versed (or at least can get by like myself), its as simple as setting your MS to send a specific CC# lets say CC#20 on CH3 (assuming you'd make you're VE-500 on CHANNEL 3 in its settings), and then on the VE-500 side, Assign 1, Source: cc#20, moment, FX1,2,3 or 4, you'll find each effect and all its underlying effect just after VOCODER, MIN 0, MAX 127, and turng the assign on - you should be good to go! Just make sure you have your midi RX (recieve channel) on 3, omni either on or off, i can't remember off hand, PC IN set to ON, and that's about it.
@ricardosegarrapr2 жыл бұрын
@@JaredGunstonTV I will definitely try that. I'll let you know how it went. Thank you a lot. You are responsible for making me buy the ve-500, just to let you know. And I haven't regretted it a single day. I have to confess that first I purchased the VE-8, but dare to buy the VE-500 and now I use only the VE-500 for my vocals. I have more than 10 boss midi pedals and I'm right now limited by the 4 midi channel controls the MS-3 has. I learned to program there and call my pedals with the Midi Channels, but don't know how to program with the Assign section which has 8 Assigns in the same bank number. I'm still learning. This is a lot of trial & error. Right now I'm controlling the OD-200, IR-200, MD-500, RV-500, DD-500, RC-10R, RC-500, EQ-200, SY-200 & trying to program the VE-500, but not yet succesful. For example: I want to push pedal #1 on the MS-3 and change my distortion to a Radio Sound Like, and also my voice in the VE-500 to the radio fx. Then push the #2 pedal on my MS-3 and change to my normal distortion with my normal voice setting. That's why I need to program the VE-500 using the MS-3 as a controller and avoid the Tap Dancing between pedals. I will try your configuration suggestions. Once more thank you for your time. I will let you know how it went. Blessings!
