He got his daddy's code making him immortal just so you know. Also in the Japanese ending the way C.C Ne, Lelouch is too loud for it to be like hes not there so he is then the cart driver.

@YaoiIsMySin Not necessarily, there are hints in the anime that he may be alive and a third season has been confirmed, however, if Lelouch is in it is not sure. I've also heard it was in another era, possibly past and there's someone that resembles Lelouch...Anyways, I thought the exact same thing because I watched his death scene before the anime but it really has a plot that is not to miss, it makes the death more tragic but it is honourable and not in vain. You'd be missing out on the rest D:
