Wow, excellent playing! Probably the second best version version of this tune I've heard, bested only by the time I heard Django play it alongside Slash at the Super Bowl in 1846.

If you see that this video was replayed 54,000 times… that’s just me learning it bit by bit. 👍 any tips on Gypsy Jazz would be awesome! Unreal playing man.

Amazing to think that there have been millions of great guitarists in the world since Django made his recordings---- and Django is still the greatest of them all. He is the most distinctive, the most original, the most influential, and the most loved.

A lot of jawdroppin guitarists spend a lot of time learning this solo and getting it right. How great does that make Django improvising this perfect musical statement
@williamanesbitt10 жыл бұрын
Nice job! It's one thing to learn a double chorus note for note, but an entire song -- note for note from the Django recording -- must have taken a ton of work!
@TheseusTitan6 жыл бұрын
There’s sheet music and tutorials on much of Django’s popular performances. It still takes work to learn it.
@manouche1235 жыл бұрын
It' s very well done... but the real challenge is: create your own improvisation as melodic and surprising like Django's. He would never play it twice the same way. FOr sure, there are more improvisations from Django of this song who are even better but never recorded.

And to think, if you were a woman, every second bloke who saw this would say this is by far the best version of this they have ever heard, lol. Well.....even though you aren't a woman, I'm going to say that this is a lovely version and it is nice to see that you are not directly copying it note for note, but adding your own occasional notes here and there, etc. which shows you are putting a bit of extra thought and passion into the piece, plus you're doing your own backing which is extra awesome.. Very, very good. I'm not quite there yet. I've spent a few weeks on and off with this one and I'm still only just a bit past learning half of it. Hopefully, I'll eventually get there. Some of this is very hard for me to get right or to get to what I consider an acceptable standard. Thanks for posting your very lively cover of this.
