(or) Freezer paper, light colored fabric,colored pencils,graph paper, sheet protector and masking tape.

I raced out of bed, threw some water on my artistically arranged hair, which my cat does every night, teeth brushed, throwing on some deodorant and clothes, called my colleague, who didn't answer... Damn .... Called my boss, to let him know I will be late. It always looks bad, if you don't show on a friday, right? My boss was very calm, told me not to worry - and then he asked me, what I wanted ?!?! It was eight in the evening, on still thursday and I had fallen asleep after dinner. Talk about one funny friday. ..... 😜

I love the computer printed one, but totally fell in love with the colored pencil ones!

I tried it on some scrap fabric and the colours come up really well, I need to settle on a fairly simple pattern and do a real one with the stitching, but I am really pleased at how well the pencil came out, it opens the door to do much more elaborate quilts if you wanted to.

@@AnneAndersonFoxiepaws Was your fabric a light colored print? I wanted to try that, but for the video I wanted to keep it simple. The great thing is that once you draw up your quilt design you can save them and just slide them in and out of the sheet protector when needed. Yes, so many possibilities. Fortunately I lived near my grandmother she was one of my favorite humans I’ve known. 😆 She wanted to be a quilter but she was more into crochet, knitting and sewing. Of course she loved the challenge of learning something new. So we learned and made some quilts together. She was also a great cook and baker. She’s been gone 21 years now and I miss her more than anything. I often wonder what she would think of my KZbin channel. I bet she’d start one herself. 😆 I was into Barbie scale then. Made my daughters clothes and dolls clothes. She always wondered why I wanted to make small stuff and not full size. So I wonder what she would think that I’m working even smaller scale now. Graph paper and colored pencils??!! That's brilliant. I think Derwent makes a kind of pencil that can be permanent and washable, inktese i think its called. This might actually be doable

This is a super cool idea! And right after I saw your video, I came across something else super cool that I think I can combine with your method!! Have you ever seen people use Reynolds Freezer paper with the coating on it?? Oh my goodness!! I think it could be another game changer for the mini-verse. I went back through my watched videos and copied the link to the video. The video deals mainly with the pretty party napkins and paper, but seeing how it worked with the paper napkins I think it could be used as a foundation to make the quilts with your methods of drawing out and coloring the design of a quilt.
