You can say what you want,Ricky Skaggs brought back "country music" ,back in the early '80's when it was headed for extinction. Thank God, they played the hell out of his music then,and saved the real country music from what was turning into pop music at the time. Then most of the new '80's artists, followed his lead and most gave us some damn good music. I ran out and bought the album (on Sugar Hill Records),that featured this song after hearing it on the "Big John Trimble Show" on WRVA. Thanks Ricky, for giving us a real alternative to the pop country that was taking over the airwaves at the time.

As Ricky sang and the country band played, the camera worked its way around and focused in on some of the real country artists listening to the song. What a happy kind of sadness I had remembering many of them who have since passed away but at the same time left a legacy of songs down through the years. How appropriate and fitting it is that the camera focused in on probably the most recent of these stars who passed away but who accompanied so many well-known artists with his guitar - Jimmy Capps.
