abel lost a son who he said in spanish doesn't follow directions and, after turning down more money than he has ever made and will ever make after making more off that fighter than he ever made of any other, claimed that son had no integrity, honor, or ethics. maybe abel is like one of those predator parents who sell their kids into prostitution? that kind of son? what adult talks about being insulted at an offer to get paid millions to train a boxer? he sounds like a spiteful teenage girl, not an adult male.

after abel said in public GGG has no integrity, honor, ethics, in a public statement, and said to the mexican press he doesn't follow directions and canelo won the second fight, GGG would have to have rocks in his head to ever that slander be forgotten. GGG was nothing but complimentary to abel in his statements and i'm sure he won't sue, unless it continues, but those bridges have been burned by abel. abel will probably work for golden boy now as an advisor, if he wasn't doing that before. his other boxers should take note of how abel turns on people like that. he's a loose cannon in that corner

Abel deserves respect for the last 8 years but it's understandable that Golovkin wants to change his training after the controversial L vs Canelo. i have never heard an adult male whine like a teenage girl to this degree. abel never made anywhere close to what he made off GGG from any other boxer, and abel will never make close to what GGG offered him for these last few fights from anyone else again in his life. "no ethics, honor, intergrity...insulted" what adult male talks like this? every one of abel's other boxers should pay close attention. this guy will slander you and stab you in the back even if you offer him more than any other trainer in the world makes off any fighter. floyd probably didn't pay his dad what abel was going to make off these last few GGG fights. this guy is unstable and needs to chill out with the slander before he loses more fighters or gets sued.

I can see it from both sides, ggg is on the last 6 fights of his career he's just signed a massive deal with dazn, if he's getting 100m from dazn and he pays able the standard 10% that means able is getting 10m which is crazy for a trainer, 10% is OK when you're fighting for a few hundred k, but when your talking multiple millions that figure is massive. So I understand why ggg would want to put him on a fixed fee like 500k a fight which is still massive for a trainer but obviously able didn't want to accept a fixed fee. On the other hand you can see it from ables side 'we've spent years working upto this and now we finally get here you want to change the splits, years of investment from able and when he's about to reep the rewards ggg pulls the plug. I see it from both sides it's very sad

Let's accept that both Abel and GGG have come to a fork in the road. Let's also remember that a few of the new fighters up in Big Bear went up there because GGG was up there. GGG brought business to Abel. Those new fighters trained with GGG. Talking about being away from family, GGG was away for almost a year when he was in camp. Until recently, GGGs family was in Germany.

@@jkidder01 It's true, his gym garnered a ton of publicity through golovkin. Golovkin would have been successful with any coach, and gennady probably understands that and understands he has also made abel retirement money. Sanchez is an idiot as expected to expect the same split when the fighter gets far bigger deals, too greedy.

Abel is not speaking the truth. He wanted more money from what GGG was willing to pay him. You don't hard bargain with your son for money for training him, especially after he has paid you back millions of dollars! Abel trashed GGG in public calling him "a dishonest, disloyal, a greedy person". How can a good father call his son such names in front of the media? A man with high morals does not talk like that. Not to forget Abel was a hired hand! I doubt it eastern european boxers would hire him as a trainer after his loud insults for no good reason. In addition GGG was already an established fighter and Abel was reaping the fruits of the tree which other trainers cared for and put efforts to grow and give fruits. It is not like Abel made GGG as a fighter, it is the other way around. GGG made Abel a famous trainer. The hardest part is to fight a talent at an early age. At the age of 28 you either have it or don't. GGG was olympic silver medalist.
