tax breaks were a trump policy. and under him those breaks allowed those billionaires to put more of their money back into america, OUR economy. and thats why it was cheaper to live. you cant cry thats the issue now, when biden rolled that back first chance he got. you cant blame someones policy from 4 yrs ago, when most of us agree we were well past better off then than we are now. i have never struggled like this, not since obama, and even that wasnt this bad.

Luckily, my spouse and I were able to pay off our mortgage early. We took the money we were spending to accelerate our mortgage repayment and invested it right away while we were both still working. We were able to retire early after accumulating what would have been our home payment for over 7 years and maxing out our 401K/403B plans. Thankfully, both of our parents taught in us the importance of living within our means.

Yes I live here in Columbus it’s sooo hard and I don’t think anyone cares at all! I applied for housing in 2015 and just got selected for the waitlist this year! I was homeless in between that time and nothing. I worked in shelters and seen people getting emergency vouchers and everything! I have two children and once an eviction is filed it’s hard to even get a place. I worked two jobs on the bus line always tired it’s ridiculous!

This is crazy and yet Mayor Ginther is endorsing Zone In Columbus to build expensive high rise apartments all over Columbus with a very small percent of those being considered lower income in each unit being built..Build Columbus Better instead of welcoming more people to our city, lets take care of the ones who live here first. Buy existing hotels like the one featured here ( City of Columbus) turn them in to Efficiency Apartments or build ones new instead of high rise apartments. I have lived here most of my life and we always had affordable housing until the early 2000's that's when I started seeing a shift. I would never have dreamed growing up that we would ever have a homeless problem like we have here today. Anna In Ohio
