Enable is without doubt a beautiful looking horse. Those ears and eyes and the way she moves and no matter what is backed on Sunday we would all love to see her do it. She is the best and we will not find another like her for a gd while.

Enable is such a Queen. I am willing her on to history. But whatever happens, wish her well. And Frankie is the legend. Also adore Stradivarius, though. Dilemma.

With the two horses that I felt likely posed the biggest danger to Enable in this year's Arc no longer in the field (Ghaiyyath & Love), and the ground at Longchamp on Sunday being predicted as soft to heavy, which Enable has shown she can be hard as lard on in past races, I think the race is most definitely hers to win, though definitely not a given. Many believe 12F to be on the sharp side for him, but I still think she need look no further than stablemate Stradivarius as being her biggest potential threat among the rest of the field. He's also shown the ability to run big races on soft or heavy ground in the past, and while he may be a better horse racing at staying distances, he's also shown a pretty wicked turn of foot in the final couple of furlongs of many of his races as well. I think he stands a very legit shot with jockey Olivier Peslier in the plate, who's proven to be a master at judging the fractions spot on in big races himself over the years. Among the 3YO in the field I think they'd all have to improve by at least a stone on their form to date to pose any real threat to an at her best Enable. I know there's some support for Sottsass being a threat, but frankly, I don't think he's looked nearly as impressive this season as a 4YO as he looked in 2019 during his 3YO campaign. I thought Sottsass was actually pretty lucky to have narrowly held off Way To Paris(who's much better at 12F than at 10 or the extended 10F) by a head to win the G1 Prix Ganay, only to lose him at G3 level to Skalleti over 10F at Deauville in the Prix Gontaut-Biron, followed by a 4th of 6 finish in the G1 Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown in two starts since. If I were gonna take an e/w poke at something of a price in the race I'd go with Persian King. A horse that almost never runs bad races, and though the distance is an unknown for him, he did stay 10-1/2F well finishing 2nd in last year's Prix Du Jockey Club when run down late by Sottsass. I can't see a master trainer like Andre Fabre pitching a horse as talented as Persian King in against an Arc field unless he really thought the horse would stay 12F.

Enable hatte keine Chance. Mit ihren sechs Jahren hätte man ihr diesen Start ersparen können. Das Ego von Besitzer und Jockey war offenbar nicht zu bremsen, die Gier nach dem totalen Erfolg saß tief und fest. Aber Enable ist auch nur ein Pferd, eine Lebewesen, das seine Ruhe verdient hat!

i picked the winner off the arc last year the only danger i see to enable this year is scottsass last years third i see enable winning this year by a few lenghs with the french horse in second and japan regaining his form to finish third
