I enjoyed the video and listening to the stories of the records shown. I like Randy Newman, It's Money That Matters, Go Gos, Our Lips Are Sealed, and Los Lobos. I will try to see them in concert if they come to Seattle again. I will look forward to your LA vlog.

Cool vid Mazzy, my wife Dana has family in LA 🕶️☀️We used to visit every summer just about. I do memory by date with concerts I’ve been to in the past. I remember moving back from Alaska living with my dad as a teenager, couldn’t remember the date, but I remembered seeing Metallica at the Moore theater with a newfound friend back then. Googling the show gives me the exact dates, helps piece together the timeline of my mostly drug and alcohol fogged past. 😂😅🙃

The great Love. Forever Changes bought on import in England back then. Surf's Up is a favourite song. Had several of these - Little Feat, Tim Buckley, Randy Newman, Warren Zevon and Eels. What a treat Mazzy.

Got the same Love record looking for a garage band version of Hey Joe with the moving bass line. It was probably Shadows of Knight's version I had in mind, but Love was the way to go.

Nice list. The Joni, Warren Zevon and Love albums are probably my personal favorites of the albums you mentioned but for me Jackson Browne is the quintessential LA musician. He's still active and relevant all these years later, a regular at Largo, and a godfather/mentor to many of the younger songwriters in the LA scene. I'd be glad to join you guys at Amoeba if you care to share a time (as long as it doesn't conflict with the World Series). If not, no problem, and hope that you enjoy your time in LA.

Hi Mazzy, great presentation. With a few exceptions (X, GoGos, Zappa) I have got all of the records you showcased. It's just great music by great artists. I once saw the remains of the Doors in Bonn, Germany. Must have been in 2004, with the Cult singer Ashcroft, Robby Krieger, Ray Manzarak. It was partly open air except a shelter in front of the stage. Out of a sudden it started raining, accompanied by thunder and lightning when the Doors started Riders On The Storm. After the song, it stopped raining. Robby Krieger mentioned that they must have played this song a thousand times, but he never experienced such a coincidence. By the way, the other day I got a scorer card from a local Cologne-based Golf Club from a friend. It was written 'dear Michael, best wishes, Robby Krieger, The Doors' on it. It turned out that Krieger played a round of Golf with my friend of mine early afternoon on the day of the gig. As my friend you that I was going to see them, he mentioned it to Robby Krieger. Ashcroft, by the way, did a great job.

Nice video. I think of paisley underground as a big LA movement and I love the rain parade. I might be meeting you on Friday if work permits. If you are looking for something to do I just saw a psych indie band Orua from Brazil in Newport and they are playing in LA thur/fri I think for free. Their new album is killer and live they were fantastic even with 10 people in the crowd. Cheers from OC!
