Truth is pg and kawhi both came off of career years in 2019, and one trip to to the wcf in 4 years is very little to show for having two of the best wings in the league. All in all, it's not kd-kyrie-harden level of failure, but it's definitely a failure.

No situation is going to be perfect. Sometimes you have to overpay to have a shot. PG gives the Sixers a better chance to seriously compete in the East. Guys are more and more productive into their 30’s than ever before. PG will probably still be a 18-19 and 4-5 guy at the end of his contract.

On paper, this is easily the best trio in the league and a perfect fit. In reality, there's a 5% chance both Embiid and PG stay healthy into the playoffs and the team has 0 depth around them.
