The fact is that all the best players in the world are already playing in the NBA, so it's already a melting pot of the World's Best. So yes, the team that wins the NBA Championship, is the best team in the World. The Premier League comparison is bad because their are clear examples from the fact that the Ballon D'or is always won outside of the Premier League going to show that there are superior talent playing outside of that league, guys like Mbappe, Messi, CR7, Neymar, Neuer, Lewandowski etc. This has never been the case outside of the NBA, the top talent ALL AROUND THE WORLD has always resided already inside the league.

In soccer they don't just have a World Cup but they also have a Club World Cup where the best teams of every continent plays a small tournament to prove who is the best in the world . The European team is always the favorite team because they are the best but that doesn't mean they can just ignore inferior competition from other continents and even prior to that they have to win against other countries in Europe to see whos best in that continent. As a European, I feel like it's ridiculous that I even have to say this. Nobody argues that the NBA is the best basketball league in the world by far and therefore the NBA champion is probably the best basketball team in the world. However, this doesn't change the fact that it is arrogant for NBA champions to call themselves world champions. The one and only reason for that is that they didn't win against teams from the whole world but instead only against NBA teams. Yes, they would probably beat every single other team but the point is that they didn't even compete against them so they do not have the right to call themselves world champions. To make it clear, let's just use football, the most popular sport in the world, as a comparison. In Football, the best league is the Premier League, not by a margin as big as the NBA in basketball but it's growing every year. You said that the NBA is a very international league, but it is nothing against the Premier League where 66% of players are foreign compared to the NBA's 21%. So do the Premier League champions call themselves world champions? No. To be fair, there is still one competition which is considered better even though it is not a league: The UEFA Champions League, which is an international European Football Cup. So the Champions League winners call themselves world champions, right? No. The winners of the Champions League compete against the winners of the other continental cups in the Club World Cup and the winner is called the world champion. In 9/10 times, the Champions League winner wins the Club World Cup as well but the point is that they competed against the best of the rest of the world so they can rightfully call themselves world champions. If NBA champions had the desire to call themselves world champions, they could easily go to the FIBA and ask for them to create a basketball world cup. But they have no right to do something like that after winning the NBA. The same goes for the NFL and of course the MLB. I find it really hard to believe that so many American NBA players made fun of Noah after his interview because the things he said were absolutely right. It's not that difficult to understand, you can call yourself a world champion if you beat the best teams all over the world, what is there to argue about that? He didn't do that at all. It's called the "National" Basketball Association because it was originally founded as an American league. But 1/4 of the league is international, and it's hands down the best league in the world, and it's not even close. Great video as usual but this is the first time I totally disagree with what you are saying. And I think it's great that at the end you state that that it's your opinion. Because fact is, everything you highlighted shows that the NBA is just a domestic league filled with the best basketball talent the world can offer. That doesn't automatically translate to it being a world championship though, it's still just a national championship because there are no international teams competing. The international players competing there are representing domestic teams from the United States. Man City are probably the best football club team in the world right now. They won the prestigious UEFA Champions League just a few months. And they are rightfully called European champions. No one refers to them as world champions. They will have to earn that title at the FIFA club world cup later this year. I have a 99.9% certainty that they'll probably win the title but there are no formalities in sport and that's why you have to go out and earn every title or accolade, it is not handed over to you. The stats you shared prove that. As dominant as U.S teams have been there are times when they've been upset by national or international teams from other countries. Even the NBA itself shows there are no formalities in competition, you still have to go out and win. Miami showed that this year. All throughout the NBA playoffs they were the least favored to win yet they made it all the way to the Finals. If we were to use your logic then we wouldn't even have to step on the court, we would just give wins to teams whom we think are better or are the best on paper. But that's not how competition works.

Hell the best player in the world decided to drink beer and ride horses rather than take part in the "world championship" , cause everyone knows nba finals is whats matters and is the pinnacle of competitve basketball.

@migueldiamond The argument is that the Denver nuggets are the best team in the world, not that the USA is. Fact is, fiba is just a competition that has to break up the already established best team in the world in order to give lesser competition a chance. If you think Fiba decides whos the best then you must also think dennis schroder is the most valuable player in the world, when he's a meme and a bench player on a NBA championship level team.

@@TheGymBroSkii you've got to understand Premier League has team from Wales, yet they are only called the best soccer league in the world not world champion. To be called a World Champion as a club/team and not nationality, the winner of NBA Season or Playoff has to compete in a tournament with the best team from Spanish league, Turkish League, French, Russian league, German, Italy, Adriatic, Greek, Australia, and so on and the winner will be crowned Club World Champion/ World Champion Team.
