My first time (but definitely not the last!) watching Insym play one of my favourite games, and I cried laughing at the Spirit Box routine. 8:19 "Are you friendly? Are you French? Are you pizza? Are you Grandma?" I've never seen ANYONE so confident with Spirit Box patois. (I spent yesterday happily binging on Welcome To The Game videos, and just at a glance of recent video titles means my horizons of future enjoyment are endless, thank you Insym! 😂 You're a joy to listen to and watch. And listen to "Ahh!" every time you see Lucas from inside a closet.)

@@GMDdak2014Kind of hard to play a game where they update only every 4-5 months. I could play 10 new games in that time frame. Not my fault there’s not enough people working on the game but people only play games that are constantly updated. People love weekly updates. or even every couple weeks.

I did some math about how much someone could've won this day when going all in every game^^ When guessing the pick-the-ghost ones correct: Believer: -443.223 Doubter: 4.152.983 When guessing them wrong: Believer: -5.500.000 Doubter: -903.797 With only the yes/no picks: Believer: -4.250.000 Doubter: 346.206 Only the pick-the-ghost ones: Right: 3.806.777 Wrong: -1.250.000 So overall, going Doubt is definitely the way to go, as long as there's only 1 Believer win max^^

The lighting is overall better but the devs really need to work on more realistic lighting configurations. One example would be how they only placed a single light switch for the basement at the bottom of the stairs rather than a switch at both ends. Would a normal home owner want to go down a dark stairwell just to flip on the light switch? Answer: Nope.

I got the Gold Apocalypse trophy yesterday! I hope they make new ways to challenge ourselves in the future. After the photo revamp id love it if a ghost photo was a requirement for perfect game

Oh yeah the eye adaptation is cool! Sadly though it makes me dizzy (like mentally don’t worry) and kind of confused because it’s so strong. Had to turn it off since it bugged my eyes so much. Also I noticed my mouse lags a lot now sadly. Probably need to turn down the resolution and other settings but I feel like I didn’t have that problem before. Beside that, lighting is nice! The complaint is mostly a personal thing.

Just started the video so don't know if this was said, but I wish that the eye adaptation took a while to adjust as it would then be more realistic. It usually takes a few minutes but I feel like that would be an interesting feature

I 100% agree with lights in horror games. Like on the small house maps in this game you can have all the lights on and the stairs are still completely black lol. And I get it’s still supposed to be dark and spooky but IMO if you had the power on and all the lights on it should be hella bright, then when the ghost pops a bulb or flips the breaker the effect is that much stronger because rn it goes from kinda bright to kinda dark lol

Some dull fluorescent tube lights which occasionally flicker would be good for atmosphere. They can make spooky noises too.

I have a suggestion I know u already did that but the next time when you do first phasmo version it would be cool to do a photo randomiser also turning off the greenscreen to see the background of your room aswell like in the old good days

An idea for the prison: Have it running on emergency lights instead of normal lights. Similar to lights that would be available after a power failure.

It is unfortunate to say but at 1:25:56 it does in fact 'not' connect to the corner. At 0.25 speed you can see it connect with the left wall first, before hitting the bottom. Very close, but it's neither a horseshoe nor hand grenade.

What if each room had adequate functional lighting at the start of the map and while loading in the game would chose a percentage of the lights to blow out before the players get in. Procedural broken lights?

The reason why the lighting is so good everywhere is because that’s when DK was Solo developer and CJ doesn’t know what you doing

I think phasmophobia should have a setting where you can disable ghost so you could disable all ghost except like a spirit and you can practice there behaviour

@Insym i think u should reshuffle the ghosts on the wheel every once in awhile bc the ghost variety on the wheel isnt very high u got 3 yureis/multiple of the same ghosts, etc.

I still get around 80-100FPS on 1440p max with a RX 7600 and Ryzen 5 2600. Your FPS shouldn't be that low for sure. Is your FPS capped in Nvidia control panel or the game? That's the first thought that came to my mind, but it could be something else like the CPU like mistadude said.

The game is not the best when it comes to optmization. I am blessed enough to rock a 4090 and it can drop into the 90's at times.

Is it just me or did they make the skybox look worse? Now, it looks very pastel and oily, when before it was more sharp and detailed. My guess is they were trying to make it look softer but they went way too far and now it looks disgusting. The lighting is way better, but the skybox is horrendous.

Im very new to Phasmo with around 13 hours and wonder if anyone has any tips to turn down the constant anxiety i get playing this game? I really do enjoy it, but whether im alone or with a friend, i feel, this constant fear of getting hunted or spooked out of nowhere.

Thats the fun part of the game. I played phasmo since its release and I would say it took me about 50 hours to not get sweaty palms playing all on my own. Once you understand the mechanics of the game (when can you be hunted, where do I have to go in an emergency) the game loses a big chunk of its scariness. For the beginning just force yourself to go inside. But you really Need to learn about all the ghost types. There are now so many, I Imagine it can be a bit overwhelming For newer Players. A bit of advice is just watch older insym Videos, youll see he used to be Crazy scared too and have a cheat sheet for ghosts, so you can learn the characteristics on the go. For example get 2 evidence and try to get the ghost by looking at the behaviour.

Yup, don’t play with headphones you won’t hear that white noise, you. Can change the spirit box settings to text without having to speak or having a mic. I’d also recommend listening to music if you do wear headphones. It kept me away from phas for so long til those changes were made.

Stay on less creepy maps. I think willow house is creepy as shut cuz of the basement, tangle field and the small camping map are the best for getting desensitized.

Make sure when you do play w audio. Don’t have it turned up to hear the white noise put ur audio at the point where you can barely hear that empty noise sound. The events are much quieter at the level of volume too
