Awesome. I've been fascinated by the plugin Frahm which does similar spacial stuff while also being sort of a granular effect. It has algorithms that you can tweak and blend that determine how sound sources will move around. Very fun.

lol. I still have Bryce 3D on my machine. Back in the salad days, we used Bryce all the time to make funky landscape posters and video scenes. Those were the times when Photoshop was losing it's shirt to a program called Live Picture which had this radical idea, of non-destructive image editing. I was at a seminar once, and still remember the hush that fell over the crowd seeing such things for the first time. Adobe-Wan Kenobi, settled that matter with Live Picture.

I would LOVE to see binaural rendering like this in a future Bitwig upgrade. Perhaps even a built-in Dolby Atmos (or similar) renderer. Using Meta products makes me feel icky.

Nice plugin, but end of life, if I read correctly. I'm experimenting with the Fiedler Audio Dolby Atmos Composer and Spacelab Interstellar since last year. If Bitwig only had multichannel tracks and post fader inserts, like other DAWs, this would make Dolby Atmos production MUCH easier in BWS
@soothe909 күн бұрын
isn’t there a workaround for post fader inserts? never considered that, what are they mostly used for ?

i use Dear VR but this seems more straightforward and sounds better imo. where do you put in on the channel? immediately after the instrument i guess? what about sends, i used to think that Dear VRs should only go onto FX tracks but now reconsidering. please share any best practices

If you chuck on a random lfo onto the X, Y, Z axis then the sounds will shift about rather than being fixed ... maybe.

You mentioned its possible to move the position of each FX Layer from one Oculus Spatializer plugin window, this is not working for me - Im setting the sound position location in each plugin layer, what trick did I miss? Thanks for the excellent video!
@PolarityMusic10 күн бұрын
I guess that you use Bitwig and your Plugin Sandboxing (settings -> plugins) is on "Individual". So each instance has it's own sandbox. Switch it at least to "by Plugin"

Don't you feel yourself wanting to implement cosin() or whatever in the Grid so you can make this thing orbit? Yes, I know you do.

This plugin has a sidechain input ?!
@soxymedia11 күн бұрын
no need for sidechain input (internal to the plugin) because bitwig allows to assign modulators (sidechain in this case) to any plugin parameter so you can sidechain whatever you want ;)

I know a bit about binaural stuff. But! Could this maybe work on a surround speaker system?

its binaural stereo, so you dont have audio signals for indidivual speakers
