Ah Bill now you've done it ! You found another incredible rabbit hole to dive into. Beth Hart is one of the greatest female blues/rock vocalists out there and has been churning out pure dynamite since the 90's, she is an incredible singer/songwriter in her own right (a brilliant pianist too) and has many amazing albums and songs to be discovered (ranging from searing rock/blues to beautiful and vulnerable ballads - she is a bit of a swiss army knife). Add to that, she has recorded many collaborations with some of the finest guitarists out there (including 2 blues albums with Joe Bonamassa). Having had the massive good fortune to see her live, I can assure you she is one of the best live performers out there and leaves it all on stage. She really should be selling out huge arenas around the world but my god, seeing her in a real intimate gig is something truly special and a memory that will stay with me for ever. You really ought to dig into her solo work but if you want to react to pure unadulterated perfection, check out her and Joe Bonamassa do I'd Rather Go Blind live in Amsterdam.

She doesn't talk about it, but it's got some good stuff on it--a lot of which she performed during 13 Star Search appearances (and win) in 1993. her first major label album was 'Immortal' (1996) and her first (and only) breakout hit was "LA Song, from her 2nd album 'Screamin' for my Supper' (1999). Apart from Joplin, she was also compared to singers like Alanis Morissette, and Melissa Etheridge somewhat, in those days. Starting in 1994, Beth's manager was, and still is, David Wolff--ex-boyfriend and manager of Cyndi Lauper. Beth is 52 now, hasn't lost a step, and is 10 time better....

Oh my goodness! Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You is one of my favorite Zepp songs just because of Plant's voice. How perfect for Beth to cover that! I know she did a tribute album and wasn't even familiar with Zepp when she did it. Yes she is. Spends most of her time on tour in Europe. Ugh why do so many recommend this as a first one? It gives off wrong vibes until you know her. P l ease don't suggest this first. But love Beth. @@BemusingBill Beth doesn't play the Cello anymore (only as a little kid) but she does routinely play the Piano & Keyboards, Acoustic Guitar, and Bass in concert. Beth's talent and musicianship knows no bounds - here's Beth rapping with Heidi Joubert on the cajon in late 2022 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3anqKCnaLuaj9U ). You can see here that she also used to do Percussion but doesn't really do it anymore.

The girl wasn't a friend. She was 17 and at the concert with her family. (Her mother is the blond women taking photos). They're locals and it wasn't their first BH show. (Beth lived there at the time).

Bill, I'm so glad you understand it was a performance. Another of other reactors were not quite sure what to think of her forwardness ? I guess not used to it. Pretty sensual. But there are so many sides of Beth. I hadn't seen this one until I'd been deep in the rabbit hole. And knew her history. Bill- she suffers from bipolar disease. And she needs to take time off touring etc to get her health better. Beth is one sharp lady. Very talented. She won star search years ago that's how she came into a bit of fame. That led zeppelin cover album is so awsome. Led Zeppelin is my #1group ever. Just dive in Bill. So worth it...she is like a Ren as far as an open book on her health.issues etc. And in interviews.
