What a great idea for large open shelves! I would suggest, if you have double sided paper, to cut that strip in half so that you can instantly see what both sides look like. This way when looking for something to go with your project, you’re not missing out on that other side.

On the double sided paper you could cut the strip in half & flip one over. That way you would know what is on the other side

With two sided paper I believe I would do the strip cut off half way across divider with one design and the other half across divider with the second design.

Michael's sells clear plastic posterboard sheets that could be useful for dividers for people that prefer that aesthetic, I think it's also thicker than the regular cardboard.
