I was wise beyond my years because of trauma and other horrible things that forced me to "grow up." It wasn't made to make adults "more dedicated" to the show; in fact, quite the opposite. As a broken kid myself, when this show came out, it helped me heal in some ways. It kept me hopeful during my teenage years every time a new episode dropped, and finally ended. As an adult, I still watch the show--not because I'm "dedicated," and not because it has "adult jokes," but because I was once a kid who related to Mabel and Dipper. Children's cartoons should not have "dedicated adults" because it ends up becoming a p*rn fest. Literally. Just look at the fandom. It hasn't changed and I don't think it will for as long as people ship Bill with anyone.
