Mycelium isn't the root of the mushroom, but rather the mushroom is the fruit of the mycelium organism. While it can be helpful to compare it to plants, mushrooms are in the fungi kingdom, and are completely separate. They're pretty fascinating if you start to really dive in, but there is so much mysticism surrounding them that it can be hard to get real information sometimes.

This Rom Hack is God Tier. Great levels, great interconnected map design a la metroidvania, the atmosphere is really really good with the level themes/graphics and fitting soundtrack. Also comes with this Poo guy talking in a corner so you don't feel lonely while playing. Good stuff.

Yeah, your life shouldn't be content. Really need that separation. As wholesome and lovely as it is seeing GPB with lil' B on screen, keeping that separation keeps the father/son dynamic wholesome. Kids aren't content, either. Also right after, the Earthbound name-screen music in the magikoopa level made me grin ^_^

The music in this is S tier! It uses the SNES sound pallete to create some really great grooves, although I think I heard some Chrono trigger music so I'm not sure if its all original. I especially like the chill SimCity-esque tracks.

Random tidbit on iron bros since you mentioned it in the video. I think what made it unfun was the extra strict rules you put on yourself. If you ever revisit it, you should add in pause buffering and limited skips.

A good hack would be an ending that punishes you for killing Yoshi. Have a fake out last level, a save the pets end and if you choose to kill Yoshi, you don't get the true boss/ending and your progress gets erased. Metroid meets ghosts and ghouls.

Mycelium is the the plant. The mushroom is the fruiting body. Mycelium is not "roots". If you want to relate it to other plants. Mycelium is the tree and mushrooms are the apples again MYCELIUM IS NOT THE ROOT SYSTEM, it is the PLANT BODY!

I would love to see you or someone in the community play this one rom hack, I think it was like SMW Chronicles X. I played it like 11 years ago or so. It was an interesting Super Mario Bros 3 style hack with everything custom. I have videos (they're private) but I would much prefer seeing someone from the community touch that hack. I got to some factory world and experienced bullet hell from charging chucks throwing "pokéballs" (reskinned baseballs). I have fond memories of that hack though. It's definitely outdated compared to the newer formats for hacks nowadays but I remember that one out of the hundred or so hacks I have played back in the day.

Every other kaizo streamer i watched got super frustrated with that section, and you cleared it after your first blind read, and called it "cool" instead of bullshit, or whatever terms you would use to disparage a challenging trick. These clickbait titles, not including the name of the hack, especially when done in a series that isn't connected by '..- Mycelium 01', '.. (Mycelium 01)', or whatever, is making me irritated every time I see a Grand POOBear video posted. Please make watching romhack series easier to watch, otherwise you've lost a previously dedicated fan. Love Poo, love watching his gameplay, love hearing him chat about random BS, love the editing, but I actually rage nearly every time I see a new video now and I'm just not interested in putting in the insane amount of effort it takes to just watch all the episodes of a series, considering it should be 0, any more. The KZbin playlist section is absolutely flooded so that's unfortunately not a reasonable solution either. Please let me know if someone has put together a Spreadsheet or something with the various series' Poo has done.
