Hi Scott, for my taste… German Cervelat sausage is much thicker, but gets closest to the actual taste of a US hot dog. Or IKEA dogs 😅

You can use your microwave to "boil" the sausages, too ... < be carefull: it only takes like 10-15 seconds! just through them in - without water! *guten_und_schönes_wochenende

Hi Scott, you should check out the Danish hot dogs. They have these things with a bright red sausage with yellow remoulade, mustard, ketchup, pickled cucumber slices and fried onions. You can also have some coleslaw or sauerkraut on top. Oh yes, the red sausages are also steamed or grilled.

Hello, nice Video again. Just a little suggestion. If you don't want to cook your sausage, try using the hot air fryer. Just a few minutes (2-3) at 200° C, then they become nice and crunchy and don't get watered down like they do in water and the sausages don't lose their taste. The time in the air fryer depending on the sausage. It's even quicker in the microwave. Simply place the sausagesy on a plate, cover and set on high for 10-15 seconds.

Dear Scott, the sausages from the jar usually taste soft and wobbly. In my opinion , they taste better from the refrigerated shelf and are nice and crunchy. I also wish you a nice, sunny weekend.🙂

I agree fully. I don't like the consistency either.

What do you call Wienerle at your butchers? Saiten(würstle)?
@bigfunanAmericaninGermany4 сағат бұрын
it depends on the person i talk with… the older guy calls them würstle or würstchen, and the younger people seem to say wieners or wienerle
