I feel the Holy Spirit through this piece of worship. I discovered this song only 2 weeks ago, and ever since, I listen to it very often, each time it brings a new message. This song has brought me closer to the Lord, and I have felt his comfort and reassurance as it plays. My children and I bathe in this song each morning as our opener. As a former worship leader, I can truly say that there are classic pieces of worship that bring you to the Father's feet, my friends this is definitely one for me. God bless you both in your ministry. Thank you for bringing us this song!

I planted Glasgow Vineyard Church and knew yer da and ma. Absolute gems they are! I brought ma tribe down to Birmingham once for a Conference, I think you were singing with Jeff Searles? Thanks! I was a little embarrassed when recently drafted rather unexpectedly to lead a small group in a few choruses after having played lead guitar in worship bands for years. Very few of the songs and arrangements I've played in the last several decades scale well so I've began a search for my old favorites. This one took me by surprise because I wasn't looking for it, but it was one I love! Your chord voicings are beautiful. They really establish a worshipful atmosphere!

@DarrenandJessieClarke11 жыл бұрын
Hi Neal! You're not wrong, we've changed the arrangement from how we first wrote and recorded it. It's sort of a loopy chord progression so it works either way. It's not a mistake on this video, we do it this way these days. You can stream or buy our latest version from our website.

Listen to it and do it. It's not hard at all. I taught myself 42 years ago listening to record albums and playing along with them. I would pay attention to every note and every change, doing my best to not miss anything. Back then we didn't have social media to cater to our every lazy need. Take initiative, pick up your guitar, and do your own work; do not be lethargic and dull in relying upon everyone else to do it for you. These days, I have albums on all streaming websites and CDs available through Amazon and other outlets. So if you stick with it, it will pay off!

Julie Williams Hey Julie. We wrote it for ourselves and our church around 1998? We signed publishing on it with Vineyard Music in 1999 I think... first cd it was on was The Burn Service (which was us and Ryan Delmore) But there are lots of different recordings and versions of it:)

This is a great song, and you both show a love of God through it. CCLI shows this song in 6/8, are you playing in a 4/4 type of time here, or am I just losing the rhythm? Is there a "preferred" way of doing it?
@DarrenandJessieClarke9 жыл бұрын
***** Yes it's in 6/8. You can always tell a song is in 6/8 if the people are sort of swaying;) I've heard it played in 4/4 but I don't recommend it. Thanks for your encouragement.
