I danced with my dad to this song on my wedding day June 3, 2017. & now my husband is going to know how it feels when he holds his first miracle in his hands October 8, 2019, a baby girl.💜 Today is September 22nd 2021 Update: Our first little girl was born 9/29/19 but passed away unexpectedly at a month old.😔We had our second baby girl this year on 2/21/21. She is 7 months old now. We love both of our girls so much even though one is heaven side & one is earth side.🌺🌸All of your comments are so sweet.

I recently got engaged, and I'm trying to find that perfect song to dance with my Daddy at my wedding. And I think I just found it. I love my fiance, and I can't wait to become his wife. But, gosh, I love my Daddy! God blessed with an amazing daddy, who loves me, and protected and provided for me and my mom and siblings. I think I'll dance with my Dad to this song.

I just love this song. As a father of two daughters, I hope to still have my voice so that I can sing this song to them at their wedding someday if I can keep my composure. Just listening to this song brings tears to my eye for there is no stronger bond than the love between a father and his daughter.

@@blazelycan9963 My daughter once told me " I hate you!" during her early teen years and I will admit it hurts to the core. It is never too late to rekindle a better relationship with your father. Best wishes....

this song chokes me up so bad. my baby girl has had my heart since the day she was born and the nurse put her in my arms. she is my world, she gets the side of me that no one else does....and that no one else ever will. it's a joy and an honor and a dream come true to get to be her dad....and it's just a blast too! being a dad changes u for the better in every way, there is just no love as pure and natural and automatic as the love a dad has for his little girl. i can't understand dads that miss out on that, i can't stand being away from my daughter for one second....she is my best friend and i'm gonna be bawling like a big baby when she gets married one day lol. hell i'm a wreck over her leaving for college, the thing i keep tearing up over is....i can't imagine not being able to hug her everyday 😕. part of life i guess but so proud of her and love her so much!

My dad is a real hero for me. He is a soldier and he was in Iraq once and in Afghanistan twice. He had two jobs and a studies when I was younger, so my mom could take care of me and my brother. I can tell him everything and he is always there for me, even when he is tired after work. He always teaches me and shows me that with hard work you can do everything. I feel so lucky to have him when I read all those comments about fathers, who left their children. The man who stepped up & took care of someone else's kids. The man who loved me, protected me & lead me onto the right path. The man who is my hero for saving me from a broken heart I was left with when I was little. I love you daddy & you'll forever be my special man! ❤

All of you who have father daughter relationships should be thankful. Some people aren't lucky enough to have a protective caring daddy and have a relationship with him. When I look at my daddy I can see how much my existence bothers him. Made straight a's, it was never good enough. My brothers were always better. My niece is the "most beautiful perfect girl in the world and he loves her more than he loves himself" it's hard. All I'm saying is love your dad if you are lucky enough to have a good relationship with him because some people can't

But five years ago, he died of cancer, destroying my dreams of actually gaining a father-daughter connection and love. I did love him and try to have best moments with him....but he was too sick all the time....I don't remember if I ever heard him laugh, or if he ever comforted me at all...I only know the love of a mother, I always wanted to know the feeling to be daddys girl, but I lost that chance many years ago...

My dad died suddenly on two weeks ago… this is the song I had planned for my first dance for my wedding to dance with him to. I’m so upset that I’ll never have the opportunity to dance with him to this. I’m going to honor him and still have my first dance to this, and I will probably have my brother dance with me for it.

My birth father was in and out of my life when I was growing up. And I never really felt like he truly loved me. But, then when I was eleven my mom re-married to my step-father, who from day one I knew loved me as his own. I'm 24 now and I know that he loved me first. And I will always remember that even when he gives me away one day to my future husband. Love you daddy!

@@renevargas5904 I don't know why people say "They just had a wired way of showing it" that may more in some cases, but not mine. Because, never being there for me, leaving for weeks on end and me always asking my mom "when's daddy coming home?" My Pap taking over as my father figure due to me being starved of a father figure in my life. And then him leaving me at 11 and never calling or visiting ever again. Acting like I was never born, is not love. And if that is an idea of love to you, well then I'm not sure what to tell you. 🤷♀️

My dad was deployed when I was born and he got back when I was four weeks old, my mom likes to joke that we’re still making up that time missed. My dad is one of my best friends! I’m just like him and he gave me his love for horses and we’ve bonded more since I got the same love for them! On my wedding day I’ll dance with my daddy to this song! I’ve only seen my dad cry once in my life ( his grandmother passed) but I know he’ll cry when I get married. To all y’all reading this! Love your dads or those who took their role!!😁

Fell in love with my best friend of 2 years, we finally got together, I loved her first, she loved me first... in all the ways someone could love/be loved and it lasted eight beautiful months. She would give her everything for me, but I took all of that for granted and pushed her away! Now, two years have passed and I still love her more than life itself, but she is in a toxic relationship with a douchebag and promised not to ever go back to me. And this is fucking sad... So guys, don't be stupid! Don't let anyone else take your pearl from you! And I know this is a father-daughter song, and it did bring tears to my eyes when I first saw that wedding video, I have to say I'd die to have a beautiful loving daughter, to give my all to her and then watch her bloom like the gorgeous flower any girl in the world is!

Sadly I know this feeling as well. The hardest part is seeing her being so in love with someone else and it use to be you and now it's like you never existed and I still believe that deep down the girl I dated still has mad feelings for me and it just crushes me to know that she will never be with me again. The worst part of all is my nephew is her sisters kid and my brother is marrying her sister.

With age comes wisdom. When you eventually graduate high school, know this, college has a great many liberal "women" who will let you do whatever you and she desires to do. Your Socialist left-wing "professors" will tell you it is all okay, it's okay to be guiltless and selfish, and to go against your "oppressive" parents, and to reject their VALUES AND MORALS. To just think about Yourself. Do Yourself a Favor. . . THINK. . .Do you want a Slut for one night, few and far between, or a Soulmate, Who will be there for you, each and every night. It's so sad to know things changed between us we have kids together. I can say I honestly tried with him when we recently got back. I always thought "what if" the whole time we've been apart reason why I gave him another chance now I know I must close this chapter in my life and carry on without him. Good luck to you I hope you can get her back if you do love her show her she's who you want and she's what matters to you.
