I was a daddy's girl and watching this has reduced me to a puddle of tears. What a wonderful gift you gave to your beautiful daughter. My dad died in 2007 and it still seems like yesterday. My mother told me one time that dad said the only one of his daughters he dreaded walking to the altar, was me, because he said he would hug me so hard that he wouldn't let go. He knew , though, I never wanted to get married and I haven't. I like being single. If I had gotten married and my dad sang this to me, I would have been a wreck. My dad and I had a lot in common and one of those things was singing. Dad was a song and dance man, from way back. He had the most amazing bass voice I've ever heard and I am just the opposite; I am a high soprano. I would give anything to hear him sing this song. God bless this father and daughter.

I lost my dad 3yrs ago Oct 3 and the last time I saw him was my 40th birthday Oct 1. This had me balling because it reminded me of my dance with him and last year my daughters and I made a sign that says A Daddy is a Daughters first love with their hand prints making a heart for their dad. One on each side of the wording. My dad was my hero and I miss him everyday. I will never forget his words to me during our dance. I hope our daughters have the same love everyday with their dad that I had with mine. Good jobs dad because that’s something she will never forget.
