Thanks for sharing your story, I relate on so many levels. One of my weirdest social anxieties: Whenever I frequent a restaurant/ store, and the workers start to recognize me as a "regular" (and sometimes even predict what I'm going to order), I get SUPER uncomfortable and will most likely never go there again.. I know they are just being friendly, and there is nothing wrong with it, but it just makes me feel so embarrassed.. almost like I'm being exposed in a way. It's hard to describe.

Never have I ever related to something so much. The thought of sex feels completely alien, like it's not even a part of the world I inhabit. Like it's a thing that only happens in movies. Interestingly enough I've been friends with a "cool kid" since kindergarten and the juxtaposition is mind boggling. It's always wild to me how he can effortlessly go talk to any group of girls at a bar and take any of them home if he so chooses. It reminds me that indeed, there are real people whose lives are like that. I certainly don't blame other people or women. I'm not good looking, although not abhorrent either, but I truly don't think looks are my biggest issue. Sure, being hot would help a lot but my looks would be enough if I was good socially. But alas, I am just good enough socially to recognise how terrible I am socially. Really quite an awkward spot. The self hatred this generates is a bit much to deal with at times. I feel so incredibly uncomfortable in my own body that the thought of intimacy, sex and flirting is quite honestly laughable to me. I have no grand conclusions, just wanted to type this out to vent and I guess let you know how much I relate.

Sounds like you still romanticize what teens do. The secret to teen years and the growth there is the ability to transition to an adult. No one has a similar experience, but the main commonality is personal responsibility, overcoming obstacles (social, physical, mental) and a transition to adulthood

Dont worry about being a virgin, its better to wait to give it up to someone you care about, and they care about you. It will come eventually.
@stripes4975 ай бұрын
Perhaps, you do not realize how Fortunate and Blessed you are. Just think that you DO NOT HAVE AN STD and/or an unexpected child from a previous relationship. I have known many people who have gone through such painful and agonizing situations. I am over 55 and STILL A VIRGIN!!! I was very depressed and saddened to be in this situation. However, one day I realized that I DO NOT HAVE ALL of the baggage and drama that is associated by having extra marital relations. My advice and counsel to you is to focus on pursuing a career and making money. Don't concern yourself about women too much. At some point, the beauty will fade and they won't look ALL that great. Take care of yourself and be indifferent about women. You are a smart young man and have your whole life ahead of you. Women will come to you on due time.

I tried therapy, but I didn't find it helpful. I think the problem was that I think I kind of "present" well (I don't think I come off as having mental issues, on a surface level). I think she just kind of assumed that I was just a little shy and just needed some encouragement to go to like meetup.com or something. I would like to try it again at some point, though.

I think a lot that my time has passed I’m 26 and same situation but thinking in the past when I was 9-10 I just occasionally thought “when I’m older I’ll have a gf” then from “12-15” I knew I will never get anything I believe my time has past and 15 was the limit age and if I didn’t have at least 1 gf by that age it was all over and indeed so far it has been like that, and some how I feel kind of guilty whenever I think of try something or even trying to talk (in a flirty way) to a girl I like I also always think they’re going to reject me, have boyfriend, or simply are not interested and also I have this stop1d idea that I must be with a virgin woman as well 😂 Like if woman reached 25-29 yo virgin😂 I’m just so delusional

I think there is a solution to your type of 'inceldom' . It is intense loving kindness/forgiveness meditation - like at least 30 minutes a day and more towards yourself when you start. You will rewire your subconscious to like yourself.

Adam, you're a good looking dude who has a lot of potential with women. You kinda remind me of Chester Bennington of Linkin Park. Ditch the beanie and get yourself a a good haircut/style. Maybe buy some new clothes, and try and get yourself out there. The right women will be understanding of your situation, cause not everyone's perfect. I lost my virginity at 24, not because I'm an incel or anything....but I just didn't care about relationships, or getting laid in general till I met a girl off a dating website. Don't let it be a big deal, cause it really isn't. You're very well spoken and women would love to hear your stories.

I’m not a virgin and I actually have a fair share of options when it comes to woman but I will say that you can be alone and still be in a relationship.. meaning, if you don’t know and love yourself, and rely on someone else to do that for you then you will forever be alone. Don’t rely on a woman to define you, you define you and the right one will come along after hopefully. Keep your head up
