Awhile back, a famous simracer named Mac Evad made a video entitled Choose Your Battles (also in the MX5). It wasn't until you caught P10 that you seemed to settle down. I agree with the others that this makes iracing rookie MX5 look professional. Sometimes when I'm racing someone will start talking to me and I have to yell at the dog.😂 Best wishes to Julie.

How I love AC. This sim is the only sim that lets you slide the rear out and stick it. At least the only sim I like. In ACC and iRacing you could not get away with drifting 9:42 thru a corner like that in the Mazda. Nice one Dave. 👍

​@@JaredPaul01 rf2 has slightly broken physics though, the fastest way through a corner in any car is sliding the back end out, even in modern f1 cars super low rear wing is faster not just on straights but through corners too

AC's MX5 has a H-pattern gearbox (you can see by the driver's hand animation). You can drive it with the paddle shifters but you'll still need to blip the throttle when downshifting to avoid those rear wheels locking and sending you sideways into turns.

Hi Dave. We have seen lots of noise about LFM AC these days, and it's not being the only web based AC platform out there. One of those that sticks out quite visibly is World Sim Series. I wonder why any of you guys haven't done a video about that one, as it's really good, has a great AC content automatic synchronization system (cars, tracks, liveries, like iRacing plus Trading Paints all-in-one), license sytem, and even organizing capabilities for free users as well as Premium Sub users (which we are). Exceed Racing has been running our Formula Hybrid league/championship for a year on WSS and we love it. Just as a really satisfied sim racing community WSS, we would like their driver base also increase with good sim racers. Is it possible that you do some justice on this topic? Thanks, cheers!

You should really consider rev matching on downshifts and shifting at no more than 6500 rpm to gain control and straight line performance. This car makes no power near the rev limiter. Try it, you'll get much faster.

Mistake by purple car was to initially move to the right, If they had stayed in line, they would not have had to move to the left and you wouldn't have being able to be in the middle of the track. In all fairness I would have probably closed the door on the outside, I feel I wouldn't have been in the mood for playing around while I got a car rejoining on the right, I wouldn't have given an inch on the outside and if you want to pass you be the one who has to manage having a rejoining car on the right and another car on the left, but they left you space.

You really gotta be blipping on the downshifts in the manuals even if you're using paddles with them, that's partly why the back end keeps kicking out under braking. Especially on that second chicane.

So many questions. Unfortunately I'm stuck on console but love racing and am trying to get into sim racing. I have AC, ACC, and PC2. Since AC seems tge most popular I'm trying to get good on that. Only have abiut 2hrs so far but with miatas im mildly competitive. My questions are: How much do you play with car setup? My car does6seem to handle as well as yours (slides are hard to recover, kerbs can be difficult) My game looks a lot different (guessing due to mods?) Does AC have access to a spotter? Does the console version have access to "race leagues" like this? I like competition (even jf im in last, having someone to chase makes it more interesting) Questions go on and on. Anyway, great vid

This is only possible on PC with AC mods and other add-on apps like crew chief (spotter) and graphics mods like sol or pure. AC on console is barebone and dead end.

It's very similar, but in my opinion, AC is more fun to recover from oversteer. Iracing is more punishing.

Basically, unless you have triple monitors or VR, then you're driving with blinkers on, having zero peripheral vision. There is the radar, but using that in the heat of the moment is a skill in itself. So, when racing people you don't know, the lesson is that putting yourself on the outside racing side-to-side into a corner should be avoided. Good comeback though mate!

Racing standards in LFM are horrible. It was the case in ACC and also in AC. I‘m still having a blast racing LFM, don‘t get me wrong. Maybe it‘s because I‘m racing Top Splits but I always start from the back because people can‘t make Turn 1. Not in one single race. It‘s sad that people either don‘t have awareness or simply don‘t care.

triple screen is easy on AC just so everyone knows. open content manager settings>video>check triple screen>custom resolution>7680 for 1440P monitors. Now go into a hot lap practice and it should be in triple screen, to adjust everything get in the car and take your mouse scroll all the way to the right and hit the 4 dots at the top of the screen and look for the triple screen indicator click it and now you can adjust the view angles and distance!

Yeah, bottom splits are as bad as I expected (considering essentially non-existing entry barriers), but there's an easy escape if you're good. Take the pole which shouldn't be too hard as even the fastest there are usually 2-3 seconds off the pace, and drive away from the start. Having a long track like Mugello helps as you're not likely to see a backmarker who can totally ruin your race. Finish P1 or P2 and you're likely to get promoted to the top splits for your next race where it is much better. Been there, done that

No, it's not you. It seems that there is a fixed number of people who play simracing and they own all the racing games, they just switch between them. So the same guy who plays Fora Motorsport and crashes everyone, is the same guy who switches to Gran Turismo and does the same thing, then he goes to Assetto Corsa and ram everyone. It is just a different the game with the exactly same people and same behavior. The same guy who plays in the ACC's open lobbies is the same guy who plays in the LFM and continues to do the same shit. I recently won the Rennsport beta key and guess what, there are dirty players there too who ram you in the straight. Probably the same ones who only momentarily changed their game and continue doing what they do best, which is being dirty and hitting everyone.

The driving standards on LFM are pretty low, especially in lobbys with a ton of rookies. I never had a good race in LFM and in the end i deleted my account. In league racing you only have one race a week but you can be shure that the other drivers take their time to learn to race and don't see it like a clowns fiesta. That doesn't mean that never happens something but in the end the races are better and when something gets wrong you get a sorry and the guy get a proper punishment. The LFM catalog of punishments is a complete joke. Someone killed you and only get a rating punishment and a couple seconds for that race. And the worst thing of LFM. When you report someone but the stewards see that another guy is the real guilty one than they refuse your report and nothing happens.

Don't knock it until you try it. All sims are video games my friend, even the gloriously overrated iRacing. You would have to be completely out of touch if you think iRacing drives and looks better than Assetto Corsa. I myself got baited into spending way to much money on the game. Also would like to ask you out of iRacing and Assetto corsa what "sim" has different tire compounds and a weather system for years now.... Yeah, iRacing is not all that its cracked up to be.

@@racerguy6979 iRacing is a video game as well, hate to break it to you. This sim elitism is a bit sad tbh. They all offer something different. AC is most definitely a simulator and a lot of people prefer how it drives compared to iRacing. A lot will come down to what you are used to. If you spend all your time on iRacing, anything else will feel "off" until you get used to it. But you haven't even got that far, you are making a sweeping judgement without even trying the game.
