Jennnyyy!!! I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. 4 years ago, I was working at an Outback in Tupelo, Mississippi. I started watching your videos out of the blue and you motivated me to apply to be an FA. I moved to STL with no job in sight and applied at a regional and I GOT IN! I spent a year flying before moving on, but aviation is forever in my blood and I'm working on some business ideas for the industry now, since I'm a business guy. I still fly for free on my friends benefits, but I tell everyone my story of becoming an FA and how it all started with a KZbin channel I found. Thank you thank you THANK YOU!! Glad to see you're back into the swing of things!! As someone who is a lifelong migraine sufferer (4-8/month for ~20 years) before getting a massive influx of daily, persistent, unrelenting and medication resistant migraines. I went to a neurologist and the treatments for migraines have changes SO much. I'm currently on Aimovig 70mg (monthly injection) that has kept my migraines under control (1-2/mo now) with still a lot more options for treatment. If you ever want to talk about anything migraine related, please let me know. I hope you can find some relief soon!

Hey :) My sister also suffered from very bad dreams and it turned out it was a sideeffect from the antidepressant medicine she was taking. Some of them apparently cut out the REM phase wich can cause very bad dreams.

I’ve had bad dreams since before my antidepressant, so we know that’s not it. Thanks for the input though!! I’m glad she was able to get it figured out!

I never understood how people can't wear masks properly or can't wear one at all when they are supposed too. I am so used to wearing a mask because of work it doesn't even bother me. I work with nurses who wear a surgical mask, a n95 mask, and face shield for 12 hours a day. If they can do that, people can wear a mask for a few hours on a plane

i was a marine for ten years with multiple deployments. "for context" if i wear a mask for longer than 2 hours my face gets so sensative its unbearable... not everyone can wear masks..

I hope your migraines get better! That has to be hard with all the flying and changes in altitude too! I had a question about commuting: I would want to be based in Charlotte or possibly ATL if it ever opens but would need to commute to these. Do you have a video on commuting or do you know if Charlotte is easy to do that with?

The industry gets in your blood ! I worked for SWA as a Ramp Agent for three years but got really burned out and injured twice . I am also thinking about coming back to the industry but in another role . Gate agent or some related above the wing role . Your Airline or maybe Delta or my top choices .

Are stand by shifts paid? Sounds like a silly question but I think that on a flight, you get paid once the plane takes off I believe? So how does it work for those stand by shifts?

Airport standby is paid! For flights, we get paid from the time we push back from our departure gate until the time we arrive at our destination gate. When we’re on a RAP (could be used, but not required to be at the airport), we’re not *technically* getting paid. But reserves are guaranteed to be paid for 75 hours worth of flight time, whether we actually fly that many or not.

My neurologist wanted to see if the migraines came back before getting me on the preventative. No sense in getting it if they weren’t a problem anymore. And yes, I’ve put a transfer in but it’s going to be awhile before I make it back unfortunately

You can. It’s not recommended though, especially since when you’re hired, you agree to relocating. Personally I didn’t have to commute when first hired; I live in Charlotte and was based in Charlotte at the time.
