Wow, people in the 90s really had a problem with women who had respect for themselves and had standards on the type of people they wanted to spend their time with and/or have a physical relationship with. 😔In my opinion, I think that Golddigger is a word used to shame women from having self-respect and standards for themselves, and to shame them from choosing their dating partners based on who can provide a good future for them. of course a healthy relationship is based on a lot of factors, but a good way to tell if you have a decent man on your hands is if he can hold down a good job, or is educated, has career options etc. Wouldn’t you want your daughter to do the same?
