Love her character development. She started off by complaining how everyone is obsessed on appearances at the same time repeatedly pointing out how boring 'normal' people look, but in the end she understood not to judge by appearances, fell for a guy her old self would deem 'normal', & even came to love her own natural appearance. This is by far the best story of growth by this channel imho

Sure it's true she shouldn't have to hide herself and has a right to wear what she likes but that doesen't mean you can't try something new sometimes beasides she keeps hiding her natrual look whic is a shame beacouse she is very beautiful. The leasson both Isabel and Harper tried teaching her is that every girl is beautiful no matter what you wear and it's good to try new things sometimes. Good thing Miranda found a more natrual look in the end and accepted her other friends style as well also i love how hardworking she is. Love her

I’m glad alternative styles are becoming normalized now but I hate when people just dress that way to be trendy. It was hard for me to find things in that style growing but now it’s so easy. I know it’s salty but I still miss back then when it felt more personal, like my own little thing no one could have. I don’t wanna be selfish but it’s hard to see something you care about in the spotlight. I’m glad younger people can see more alternative styles now but it’s hard to adapt to big change.

I can understand this pain, this situation. People have teased me for looking Emo or whatever just because of wearing dark colours like Gray and Black. I tried to change my comfortable and self pleasing style but I realized that you can't please everyone. And you don't need to. You shouldn't satisfy others if you're not satisfied yourself. If others can't accept you and you're likings, then you don't accept them for their attitude. And don't let it get to you. People will still say whatever. Just be yourself peacefully ❤❤❤
@miriamreinhardt89393 жыл бұрын
As a Goth, I absolutely fucking ADORE this. While it IS true that you need to conform in order to get a job and support yourself financially, Goth isn’t just about the looks. Goth is a subculture because it’s about the music and the music expresses the rhetoric that makes up Goth Ideology. The exact same rule applies to Punk. As lot of girls have the same mentality as Miranda; that people who look “normal” are all “conformists” and those girls have this aesthetic tribalism mentality, which is completely understandable due to misogynist stereotypes in the media. I really liked the character Harper; she was realistic and practical. I would recommend this video to EVERYONE, especially teenage girls who want to be alternative.
