The glowing figure that killed him In the vents is referred to as: “The Being of Light”, if you go a certain direction in the vents, the space will get very narrow, to the point that movement is impossible. After some time, you will begin to hear a ringing noise, followed up by a glowing yellow figure gliding through the vents towards you, in which you will die. This is one of the many endings in the game, and is quite hard to find.

If y'all want the lore here: Basically, before the events in the game, Ms. Mcdonald had sent her atheist daughter to a strict and abusive boarding school so that she can conform into her christianity, and all while doing this, Ms. Mcdonald kept convincing herself that she isn't a monster if she doesn't cause the harm but rather let the others do it. So then Jamie (the daughter) had been horrifically bullied by the other kids at the school and abused by the nuns, especially Sister Aplonia. Bongo, a doll that her mother had given Jamie, was the only friend she actually had. And so soon, Jamie had hung herself, causing the school to shut down to a lot of rumors about the whole incident occuring. Ms. Mcdonald becomes ridden with absolute guilt, because she was the one who forced Jamie into an abusive school and she was the indirect cause of her suicide. And after a few years of grieving, Ms. Mcdonald goes insane, going back to the abandoned school, and imagining that she had received a letter, to which she actually didn't. The nun that chases down is the manifestation of Jamie in the mother's mind, bitter and angry, seeking vengeance for what her mother did. And her appearance is based on a nun from the 1800s who got her eyes taken out by the romans, but allegedly, Christ had saved her and cleaned her soul free of them. As you go around the school, you realize that all the notes you see are written from Jamie, or what her mother think she would have wrote. And the doll that is hanging is Bongo, another manifestation of Jamie's suicide. Bad Ending: Jamie doesn't forgive her mother for what she did, and decides to cleanse her soul. Neutral: Ms. Mcdonald cannot handle the grief and guilt she has anymore so she decides to bury herself in a coffin inside the school so she can burn in hell. Good: Ms. Mcdonald gets rid of the manifestation of the nun, symbolizing that she is sorry, and that she will forever never forgive herself but rather, getting rid of Jamie's tormenters would appease her mind. That's why when you click on Bongo, it says "you are forgiven" because Jamie forgives her mother for indirectly causing her death, and thus lets her go in peace since her mother gotten rid of the tormentors and had come all this way for it. Overall, Ms. Mcdonald is a shitty mother for sending her daughter to an abusive environment just for her religious beliefs to be conformed into Jamie and Jamie deserved better, and the good ending somewhat helps that. -this was made by @evansflamethrower so credits to them and the comment was from All nun massacre endings By I'mClownBTW

Remember in the notes they said a little girl was looking for her clown doll Bongo, the little girl also seemed to be a target for the Nun’s bullying. The room you were in had a clown doll with a miniature Nun whimpering like a kid. I think the Nun tricked you into killing a kid, it might have been a choice to sacrifice the kid to win the game.

Fun fact: the whispers when you fall into the barbed wire pit isn't from the nun, it's from Mrs. McDonell, the person you play as in the game. The nun isn't exactly real. Mrs. McDonell is crazy from my understanding, drowning in guilt. Her daughter, Jamie, the one "writing" the notes, committed suicide at the nun school because of the bullying. This caused it to shut down. This also caused Mrs. McDonell to go insane, as she was the one that sent her there because of her atheism. The nun is the embodiment of Mrs. McDonnell's guilt. *The whispers are from Mrs. McDonell trying to rationalize herself.* I put quotation marks around "writing" because she didn't write those notes, Mrs. McDonell wrote them and pretended to read them as if reading her daughters diary. It's the same with the note she gets to go to the school. She wrote them herself so she can go to the school. i think that's why they have the same handwriting. Once again, she was crazy. The Mother Apollonia was the head disciplinarian of the nun school, and possibly the reason why Jamie committed suicide. It was also because of her peers bullying, but Mother Apollonia physically, psychologically, and sexually humiliated to "cure" them of their demons and keep them in line. Other nuns did this too. Cool.

As a person that made the 'music' for when the nun is chasing you and the jumpscares, I am glad it scares you and you enjoyed it (sort of) Sorry I didn't see it until now! Also the reason why you could not find your lighter is possibly a sort of recent update to make the game more difficult. When you get too close to her and you are holding an item, you immediately drop it in fear. Whenever you drop these precious items near the nun, she will take them. She tends to put the items back where they were originally were so, in hindsight, you should have looked in the drawer where the lighter was originally.

Cory, you got the good ending. Here lemme explain all endings. So basically, this game is an entire metaphor for McDonnel's sins, and the nun is her alter-ego. The mission to rescue the child is actually a quest to become good again. Because children represent innocence. The Good Ending is where you burn her and the clown says "You are forgiven" which means you are given a second chance at life, and to become a better person. The Bad Ending is where you fall in a narrow pit, then the nun creeps up and slowly fills the pit with her "acidic" vomit. Completely makes no sense. The Ending where you are stuck in a reality-bending vent and a lil light figure comes at you and kills you is...The IDK Ending. The Neutral Ending is you collect all body parts and put them all on the scale, get the gear from inside the scale and put it on the clock. A secret passage will open, this will give you a candle I think. then you go to the floor with all the lockers, find rubbing alcohol, find the crate with rope tied on it, and burn it with the alcohol. Then find the code and enter it on a certain locker, and you will get the second candle, then you find a prayer room, put the candles in, then the glass frame bursts and there will be a corpse hung on a cross, it has a stone head attached on it. Take the head, go to the graveyard, put the head on the headless statue, then the ground will open up. Read the letter, go inside the hole, close the coffin, bam. neutral ending. AKA the hardest ending to get. Basically McDonnel goes insane and buries herself alive. like so cory can see.

18:35 I do believe that's a torture bed. There weren't any tools but the water dripping onto the end where the head of the body being placed there would go tells me that it's a torture bed. You see there is a technique of torture where people would strap your limbs down and drip water on your forehead. Something about the inability to wipe it off and the feeling of it on your head drives them insane after a while. It's a weird but effective strategy. And cheap.

That was a very unexpected ending, but not gonna lie, I kind of want to see you get the real ending, and if you do come back to this, this information from the wiki may come in handy for your gameplay. Rocks - can be to distract the Nun and also to break the glass. Pistol - using pistol won't exactly kill the Nun, but will cause her to run away, giving the player more time. Radar - can be used to detect the Nun's movement. Screwdriver - can be used to unscrew bolts from the vent cover. Hammer - can be used for removing nails from wooden planks that have been used to barricade the door. VHS tapes - can be inserted into VHS players at certain locations. Lighter - primary light source. Wire clipper - can be used for cutting wires. Notes - written by children, can be found in many rooms. Wooden plank - can be used to walk across the barbed wire pit. Bandages - can be used to heal wounds. Mannequin parts - can be found scattered all over the school. Can be placed on the scale. When you realize the small “nun” at the end of the game was the main characters daughter, Janie, that the real nun, Mother Apolonia, trapped and disguised as herself 👀 The main character burned her child alive. Some replies have made me realize further evidence of this: -When the player tries to interact with the small nun (I'll just call her Janie to avoid confusion) the prompt they receive is "Don't believe her lies". I believe this is the player's (i.e., the mother's) internal dialog reacting to Janie, undoubtedly trying to get her mom to listen to her, to save her. But after this entire ideal of desperately trying to escape with her life from Mother Apolonia, the mother is too blinded by fear and trauma to realize that its her own daughter in front of her, and rationalizes it by saying "Don't believe her lies". -kind of obvious, but the fact that Janie was that height in the first place. Mother Apolonia was consistently shown to be taller that the player. For the devs to make such an obvious mistake in the characters model at the climax of the story is impossible. -the fact that Janie is caged. Through the notes found by the player, we discover that Mother Apolonia was abusive and cruel to her "students", giving them inhumane punishments for the smallest of mistakes. It seems realistic that Mother Apolonia would imprison Janie in a cage, even dress her as a nun herself as some sort of punishment. Why in the world would Mother Apolonia be in a cage? Especially after just being seen throughout the building? -Bongo the Clown. One of the letters says that bongo is Janie's toy, and that she hid it from the Nun so she wouldn't take it away. The fact that its hanging outside her cage, just beyond her reach, makes me think it was hung there by Mother Apolonia as another punishment upon its discovery. There's even more evidence, like the noise Janie makes, which is more of a whimper, a sound that Mother Apolonia has never made, or the fact that the story ends without actually "finding" Janie, which was the whole point.

There are actually 5 endings in this game, and the gold 'tiny' being is imagined to be an angel (remember Mrs. Mcdonell was traumatized cuz of her endless guilt towards her daughter) in a never-ending loop when actual incident was her suffocating to death inside the vents. It's not a glitch btw. Moreover, he avoided two endings (going down the vents meaning death by acidity of nun (she sprays way too much acid that u can't survive and the headless angel statue is another one, search for the head and after a certain no. of tasks done, the MC buries into the coffin) the one where she gets locked in and you get the wire cutter, the nun's pit and getting killed by her (I think) But do check out the comments for a better explanation

I'll explain the story. The mum (the player character) sent her daughter to the religious school because her daughter was loosing faith in God however the school was known for treating children badly. The mother nun that was mentioned to torment her specifically which drove her to suicide by hanging (the clown doll represents her). Our character went in to a grief driven delusion and promptly upon our daughters death the school was closed but our character couldn't except the guilt so we go to "find her" the eyeless nun was never there but it's suggests that the nun is our daughter punishing us. Cory got the "good ending" in a sense but I suggest looking up each ending.
