I'M A SMURF!?! | Manic Panic Shocking Blue on Unbleached Brown Hair

I love coloring hair at home on a budget, so today I'm trying Manic Panic Shocking Blue on unbleached brown hair! It's also a trial with color correction since the bottom half of my hair has some growing out highlights with residual rose gold color from oVertone hot pink... You'll see dyeing hair blue without bleach can actually come out great! Just be really careful because as you'll see, I'm a smurf. The blue came off on EVERYTHING until after the first shampoo. It was on my hands, my keyboard, my pillow ick!! It washed out quickly, too, about 50% with each wash so by 3 washes it was almost back to regular color! You could maintain it longer with a color conditioner such Keracolor (links below).

I LOVE seeing the jewel colors like this on dark hair particularly, so vibrant! I first saw these on Dizzyknitsandcurls a few years ago here on you tube. She is actually more into vintage hair but wow, the blues and purples really look good on both of you.

So pretty!! I've had purple hair for a few years now. Now that I got lazy and let it all fade out 😂, I really wanna go dark blue. I know how finicky that blues can be and I don't want to bleach it atm (my natural is lvl 7, maybe 6). Seeing how lovely that took to your hair is very reassuring to me!

@@this_silent_observer yes thankfully it didn't go green or grey, just faded out maybe 50% each wash and by 4th wash was totally out. until the 1st wash my hands were blue every time i touched it! yikes!!

Thanks for this video! I've been wanting to dye my hair blue for ages now, but was never certain which colour to pick and if it would show up on my untreated brown hair. My hair has pretty much the same colour as yours and your result is pretty much what I want my hair to look like, so I finally went ahead and ordered Shocking Blue :)

My entire body is stained blue now! I only dyed a part of my hair, but now the rest is light blue

ohhhhh yikes!!! did you rinse it out in the shower like full body in the shower with the fresh dye going all over your body?? eeeeeeek!!! make sure you shampoo it, it won't stain and bleed as much after the first shampoo. as for your body, skin sheds quickly thankfully. try a good loofah and if you have any bad spots on your face you could try rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball.

This one faded more grey if I recall but it faded so quickly it wasn't an issue.thr 2 teals I did went horribly green and took long time, I avoid those now cuz I hate green 🤣

It faded out fast, I'd say less than 5 washes but it didn't go grey which I was nervous about
