If I have both permanent and semi permanent color, should I use a color remover first to remove the permanent and then use the eraser after to get rid of the semi?
@JannaNiki Жыл бұрын
@@kaitlynmills9893 The colour remover should work on both at the same time, I don't think you will need to do two sessions. You can always do a patch test to see how it reacts to your hair before committing to your whole head. :) let me know how it goes!

Are they really professionals though if they don't 🤔 I see stylists comment under diy videos all the time, acting high and mighty and condemning laypeople doing their own hair, but the reason some of us do their own hair (besides saving money doing so) is because we've been let down by so-called professionals because they either didn't know what the hell they were doing or didn't listen to the client's wishes, or both. In my opinion, people that don't know what she just covered shouldn't even be called professionals because what separates them from any other person coloring their hair is simply a paycheck and nothing else.
@AkiAlchemicae3 жыл бұрын
@@pewpewcat7679 I totally agree 🤷🏼♀️ but being a professional only means that you went to school/uni to earn a degree, sadly it does qualify you for working in a field without saying anything about how good you are at what you're doing. I personally only do my hair myself because whenever I let other stylists do it, they fuck it up. So I totally understand your distrust. But there are good ones out there, you know? Stylists who work hard, do their best (and still earn very little money, but that's a different story) so please, don't let yourself be fooled by these high-horsed idiots on the internet or those stylists who don't give a f*ck about people's hair.

Helpful tip: The Olaplex Travel bottle measuring "device" is a top that you screw on, and leave on, and then squeeze to fill up the measuring tube. It has it's own flip top to close it up. Nice job!
@igirlgeek4 жыл бұрын
I love olaplex! Every time I’ve had my hair dyed over the last 2 years I’ve had olaplex added and it’s helped it lift lighter and stopped it from breaking, my hair’s always been healthy afterwards! I’m too scared to do it myself, so I’ve had it done at salons, but it’s amazing

i love olaplex too!! Its so worth the hype
@hollyross71294 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for being so informative! I really loved how in depth your video was! The device that came with your Olaplex #1 actually goes inside of your bottle! You should be able to pop off the squeezy lid that comes on your Olaplex and then you pop the device onto the bottle instead. Once you pop the device into your bottle, when you squeeze the bottle the Olaplex squeezes up into the measurement section. Once you stop at your correct amount of Olaplex and let go the device closes itself at the bottom so that you can tip it over to pour into your bleach mixture! I hope that my description makes sense and was informative for you! Love from another fellow Canadian!!

My only suggestion would have been to use a 30vol on the roots because Olaplex takes you down another level, effectively to a 20. So the 20 you used turned into a 10 vol. Not sure if that was your intent or not. Good job on trying to maintain the integrity of your hair.

Thank you! I didn't learn about this until after 😋

Try a bleach bath! There's plenty of videos about them on YT - you basically mix bleach and developer with shampoo, conditioner, and water, and leave it on for less time than you would full on bleach. The bleach is diluted so it does less damage but it just lifts semi-perm colour right out. I just today used it to get green and blue out of mine, it took it back to blonde in like...20 minutes.

I cant go to salon for obvious reasons, but Im trying to get rid of blue hair which i have on from half of my head, the other side was purple but i did the baking soda treatment and its now blonde/green ish, but the blue is like shiny blue still blue, i did it twice. Blue needs to come out, im avoiding bleaching, the rest of my hair is dark brown, im trying to be blonde this summer. My top is greyish so the brown is dyed. Ok... what can i do to minimized damage with bleach?? Also im still working my job is “essential” they say... anyways i work at an office so im trying to stay presentable.

I followed most of these steps: I bleached my roots first and am about to take the blue out w joico eraser. If the blonde underneath the blue isn't blonde enough, would I be able to bleach it to make it lighter? or would it make the blue come back?
@uglyjerk63424 жыл бұрын
@Tailor Guppy me too, i heard that if you use color remover and then bleach that the green would come back

@xjenniush35144 жыл бұрын
Sandra Contreras how long does it last
@marykatslouisa72144 жыл бұрын
x jenniush it lasts a while, maybe 10 washes? Depends on what color you get. I’ve used the Virgin pink and it stayed for all of my senior year 😂 aqua marine came out 2 washes but left an ugly green. It’s terrible and gets on everything because even dry it stains everything
@manoudreams4 жыл бұрын
For me aquamarine doesn't get out of my hair I've had it for a year now and nothing works, it doesn't fade anymore so now it's an ugly light teal kinda color
