Ahh this brings back memories. I was laid off in October of one year and I decided I would look for a job in January where I finally got one in February. Those 5 months was pure hell. Every day it was like this. Even before while I was working I would get this occasionally but after I was laid off this ratcheted up to 100. I completely hated it but from my mother's perspective I found a job, a few months later I moved out, a couple years later I got married. In many ways it worked. As bad as it was my brother had it worse if you can believe that. Basically kicked him out of the house.

If I was a parent I wouldn't have a problem with a grown child moving back in as long as they pulled their weight around the house helping the parents get their chores done. It would be good training for if they later got married. A son would help Dad work on the cars and house, the girls could help their mother with cooking, cleaning, and laundry. 😅 here is the problem. Children can update. Tradition does not. The older women looks like they seem to be choosing to look for overwhelming support and status before getting married. Want to know the real reason why they stay home. It's because they're happy to please their workplace but not please their home.
