Turns out I only had to spend one day at the hospital (8:30 hours to be exact). Now I'm home and feeling better than ever. Well, maybe not ever, but definitely the best day I've had in the last month.

I've always been a storyteller. I've written hundreds of short stories and multiple books, but I always sensed I was meant to share a different story.
MY story.
I wasn't sure what that was until I was diagnosed with STAGE 4 Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma (a SUPER rare type of cancer for which there is NO CURE).
I decided to embrace my motto of Living Out Loud and started sharing my journey in vlog format.

Maybe. I suspect the time also played a large role as the ER was much more full when I left at 5 pm.

Terrific news! While cortisone may not be doing you any favors in the long run, it's certainly better to notch it up short term and get you out of that hole you were in. Sounds like that trip was worth it after all. 👍

You look so much younger than 34 shaved! You look maybe 24. My husband is the same way he looks younger shaved! You also look much healthier today G. Meaning rested and you just look energetic. Amazing a Thursday visit to hospital is so quick that is great! You’re healing my friend. Little dips here and there but your positive thinking is great and working! ❤. Always in my prayers 🙏

Yeah, like once a month if you need it. I know of someone with cancer who gets admitted once a month for a reset. Day admission like in your case. Sonetimes overnight. Usually she times it with tests.

That was a speedy in and out stay yet the effects are fabulous. What did the trick? Was it the IV?

The IV definitely helped. So did the increase of Decadron dose. It seems like withdrawal was causing the issues.

Glad you are home! I just think you need your wife to be with you-It’s must be hard trying to figure all this stuff out with just us always telling you to go to the hospital!! I really worried when you had the issue with your leg because mine started out that way and I ignored it and it was a full blown clot when I got to the hospital! Anyway, it’s sounds like your on the mend-I just bought a huge bag of cherries 🍒 myself today! Like 2 pounds of them 😂😂. I hope you get some rest and get back on track and get eating all those cherries 🍒! (I hope they stay down though)!

I am interested in how much hospital visits costs in Canada and how you rate the publicly funded system. Do they offer things like reiki or acupuncture. I am so glad you are feeling better! It makes me feel better - I'm an empath.

Not sure how much a hospital visit would cost as it's covered by governmental health insurance. No acupuncture or reiki, but there are massage therapists and nutritionists on staff.

Can you try something like Liquid IV.... to keep your electrolytes up? I know you had a lot going on but staying hydrated is important and water doesn't always cut it

They put me on IV when I was in the hospital, and the "pterodactyl pee" helps keep my electrolytes up when I'm at home.

I can see the few hours in the hospital did you do much good. Did you eat anything in the hospital and how did that go? What did they serve you and did it go down ok?

I ate a little, but not much. They gave me a small cup of pudding, one of Jell-O, and one of yogurt. Went down relatively well and stayed down.

Well I waited 8 hours on ER with rotting leg, they amputated it anyway two weeks after, so 😅
