Nice going stoney, enjoyed watching your video. I would suggest to you after after you get the oil off of the dog purse spray paint them white with rostolium spray paint. That way it sticks out and the raccoon will check it out plus you will be able to see it when you're looking for the DP'S them. You will have to touch them up every so often because the raccoon will take the paint off. Good luck this season I'll be looking for the videos. 👍🏻 You will love your knives, Mr. Wallace builds great knives I have 5 of them plus a machete.

How do you get your dog proofs back out of the ground? Here's what I do I drill a small hole in the point of them and put a cable or wire in there and when you are done trapping that spot pull up on that cable or wire and they come right back out

To mark you trap locations use Walmart plastic white clothes pins. Just clip them to a nearby bush. Use one per trap, ie three clothes pins = three traps. If you don’t have to worry trap thieves, paint your traps with a top quality white enamel paint. Coons see them they will come check them out.

Thank you, I’ve been using blaze orange surveyor’s tape to mark their locations- but will be painting the FB dogproofs as they have rusted a bit- dissappointing but thats why I like the Duke DP’s with the Cerakote- they dont rust

Semper Fidelis brother. Man, I just bought 6 Duke DP's. Located in middle GA. Totally green (never trapped) trying to get my grandson involved in it. ANY tips are appreciated.
@firemedic103532 жыл бұрын
#1 TIP get in the woods and teach em young! #2. Duke Dps are by far the best DP’s imo so good choice! #Marshmellows in the bottom with a lil fishy flavored cat food - the coons can’t resist it- put a lil lure around the rim (anything sweet smellin). Stay in touch and will help ya all I can. Some great subs and channels in this community- hit em up they’ll help ya too. Georgia Trapping and Fishing, Coon Creek Outdoors, Mark J Larson, Woodys trapping just to name a few plenty more- welcome aboard! Semper Fi and Happy Birthday!

Thanks for stopping by- vid was merely to share how I set up( build) my set ups to save time on the trap line. Hope you enjoy
@davidmingues9553 Жыл бұрын
So you didn't really build a trap.....
@firemedic10353 Жыл бұрын
The “build” is how I set mine up- you’ll find that every trapper has their own preferred way of setting up the different traps they use. This is how I set mine up this year based on what I learned during my first year of trapping (this is only my 2nd year). Saves loads of time as opposed to pulling earth anchors at every set.
@borceapostolovski3727 ай бұрын
Your video is totally misleading you just welded anker on them and that all you don't build any kind of trap here. Reported
