I hope Joan has found a great place in England to stretch her legs. I have just hit the notification bell so I won't miss any new videos. Again welcome back from Georgetown MA USA.

Welcome back! Shame you had to rip up the old track- a closed and lifted line looks forlorn in any gauge really. I can't think that the new house owners would not just keep it, even if of no use to them. No soul, some people, lol. Looking forward to some more quality uploads from BITD (not over keen on modern preserved stuff mostly), especially from the Walkden system. The tasters have made me positively drool! Glad you got a ticket for the Simplex, and it is back out there. Mine expired in 06, and not much point in renewing it yet. It just sits on my kitchen table........but one day it will run again. Carry on digitising and stay well. Cheers'n'beers from Oop North!

What are the measurements of the piece of iron and how far are they from the start of the piece of wood?
@GandyDancerProductions4 жыл бұрын
Hi, the iron is 7/16" wide by 1" deep and 20 feet long. The sleepers are 12" long 2x4's pressure treated. Measure from the center of the tie 2 1/2" out on either side for the inside edge of the 5" gauge rail. On curves widen the gauge by 1/32 to 1/16 to help the engine go round.
