I just want to give you the biggest hug 🤍 After more then 15 years on KZbin I stopped making videos. I got a job in November and decided that I had to give up two of my four companies to remian human and not be a robot that just works 24/7. It´s REALLY HARD having your own company not matter what it is. The plant community isnt what it used to be like in 2020. Many of the people that came to this community because of the pandamic has now left. So living on a KZbin channel that only makes plant content is really hard. Always do what feels right for you Kevin. I love your personality so I think it sounds like a great idea only posting when you feel like it 🥰

When you look at KZbin trends in the plant community, you have to ask what's unique, and you can count on the same topics of 1. Big Box Store Shopping 2. Monthly Reset. 3. Plants I Don't Like. 4. Plant Favorites. 5. Watch Me Drink My Coffee or Tea then look at the camera. 6. Downsizing My Collection. 7. Plant Wishlist and so on. When one puts out a themed video, you can rest assured others will follow. There's beauty when you keep things real. As someone who has taken a step back on plants during the winter, I feel you. I also struggled because I didn't want to buy new plants because of the trends I didn't knew what my favorite plants are, the leaves where not perfect (stil beautiful), etc. Now I focus more on plantcare and kind of know which plants I care the most about, because I was sad they didn't look as nice as before the winter. So love that you don't want to follow the trends anymore and focus on what you like. We need more channels like that

You should be proud, I'm proud of you! Please know you are loved unconditionally, there is NO right way, path...we all follow our own and taking different forks on that road is natural. Sometimes they dead end, sometimes they get rough to travel but open to a beautiful space. Do what makes you happy, there is NO perfection. I appreciate you saying how so much of plant "influencing" is NOT REAL. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate a gorgeous, perfect Anthurium leaf, but normal plants have blemishes and leaves yellow and die off. It’s good to see you again, though I’m sorry you’ve undergone such a stressful time offline. I have a tiny channel mostly about Hoyas that I do as a type of therapy. My degree and interest is in computers, and recording/editing the videos allows me time to play with my tech and be creative. The posting is secondary, and I think that’s good for me because my channel is still very (very) small 😅 I think you should do what makes you happy!
